How performance heavy is it versus a projector and VRSLGI?

So wait, could you feasibly but a baked volume on the end of a stage DMX spotlight and get that to move around the space to cast dynamic lighting to avis and the surroundings?

Yo, I heard you want DMX venues?

I'm happy to give you the run down on AreaLit if you want. What you're asking is super simple, but difficult to understand unless you've worked with it for a bit.

Ergo @ayyyyrik.bsky.social's shoutout still stands!

@ayyyyrik.bsky.social I have heard described as "the lighting god" and "the guy"... So I guess there is something there 😂

You mention that it can work with moving and dimmable lights, any chance that this can work on worlds too, give us another GI solution to choose from? Or is the accuracy not there at the moment to support that kinda lighting?

Yep basically what the #3DJ system or the #Holospace system does, but with real people.

There existed another great one going from Whitechapel to Stepney Green.

I always use "environmental artist" as a good explanation.

What do you use for adding pbr to your screw stamps, I just have normal maps but it seems like you've got colour, roughness, etc

I've been making a JDC1 & 2 clone for VRSL, just trying to get the volumetric cones right ATM. I love how different our interpretations were.

Did you notice anything regarding latency of voices, apparently they have improved that too?

Had the pleasure of spec-ing out our research lab with a UDM SE and holy hell...when I have the money, that unit is mine! So so easy to use, and should be getting NDI and Dante support at some point in the future too.

I wonder if you could combine this with a 360° camera to get stereo 3D 360° Video live streams.

Alternatively if you're using bakery you can bake subsurface scattering using the bake groups feature in Unity. I've done this with tarp throws and tent-like structures before.

Is this a stencil shader or is it mesh based?

I do know some people who had been questies for years before upgrading, same with desktop users getting a VR headset. I've also seen some cursed setups made in order to run clubs in VR. I tend to run my res at close to 40% constantly in order to be able to see 15-20 people and the world.

The MPEG-TS could also represent PC users in cross compatible venues wanting to have a platform synchronous experience.

Big big recommendation for Raethyn, they play about once every 6 months but always bring the most dynamic DnB narrative sets with full voice acting and connected stories between sets.
