I would be interested your ideas as to how to make Bluesky a viable business. Subscriptions, ads? Anything else?

I know several and I can talk to them. They want lower taxes and smaller government (What that party was about since at least the beginning of the last century. They hate Trump and his destruction of their party. They know they can’t say this on X.

If we get some GOP here who are open to discussion we can grow (I block MAGA). Without them, Bluesky will always have a limited reach. X is Faux Noise 100 fold amplified. We need to be a welcome place for non-MAGA Rs who are looking for an alternative to the hate, misogyny, racism on X.

I’m not talking about MAGA Republicans. About 50% of the party are NOT MAGA. One cannot have a discussion with MAGA Rs.

He wants to stir the pot and create chaos.

I think so, too. But I believe he wants the pot to go from simmer (now) to boil a little slower… by next Spring or Summer, so he can cancel 2026 midterm elections. If he acts now, courts could act and stop him, but if he waits…

Stephen Miller (Joseph Goebbels’ Doppelgänger for sure. With Pam Bondi ordering it and Kash Patel making sure it is coordinated.

Since it is not clearly defined in the Constitution, it would be challenged in the courts and Congress (that won’t happen with this congress. Honestly, I think if he was going to do so, he would do it closer to the 2026 elections, if he thought he would lost either the House or the Senate.

When Musk was raiding all the Federal databases, perhaps he downloaded the unredacted so-called Epstein Files. If there is incriminating information there against Trump, who knows what he’ll do with it.

Amen. The German people said the same thing being said here in America, now: It can’t happen here. It did and if we don’t do something, it will happen here.

Everyone wants to have a person to blame when things don’t go as expected. Lawyers are happy to step into the breach as it leads to a payday for them. Hospitals would rather pay someone even if everything was done to perfection because bad PR is bad for the bottom line. We all lose.

For ~ 15 years I worked with MDs disciplined for malprescribing…usually opioids by MN Med Board. They had to pass a 40 hour pharmacology course. I sent coursework by mail, but they had to come to my office for tests. Course is tough when you are young, hell when you are old. I didn’t cry at all

OMG. CRNAs were may favorite healthcare students. I’ve had 3 surgeries with former students of mine as my anesthetists. I always talk to them more than the anesthesiologists as you/they are one the ones keeping us alive during surgery.

In some (many) ways you provide a form of healthcare that people really can use. Chill.

Much appreciated. What I love about Bluesky is that people talk WITH you, not AT you.
