Despite having gone to every OC/MC prior to Covid, I haven't been to any since. Perhaps 2025 is the year to start fresh?

Been working on a new project (coming soon!) lately which has lead to me rearranging my office and finding a bunch of old nicknacks. Anyone else still got these? #MetaQuest #OC4

Just heard one of the best sports quotes ever on the news: "You need to win if you want to achieve things." No idea who it was, but I guess Captain Obvious? Classic.

I love my Virtual Boy. I get the reasons why it failed and why people mock it still today, but there are some great experiences to be had on it.

Today is an all-out gaming day: a tonne of #VR during the day then onto #Avowed this evening!

All the latest and greatest #XR news wrapped up in a nice and easily digestible chat. We're too good to you.

Having another use case for #VR is always good. Education being +1. But having it for an audience as young as this can only help to familiarise the general public with the technology, which is good for us all. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I'm carrying out my annual survey of XR game developers, and I'm uncovering the disastrous impact of last year's changes in the Meta Horizon XR store on independent developers. I'll be sharing a lot on this in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye on my posts.

100%'d Indiana Jones this weekend, then went back to playing an Xbox 360 game. Honestly, as much as I enjoyed Jones, I don't feel there's been a decade of progress here. Visually yes, but in terms of gameplay it's not a million miles away.

Today I embark on a week of learning. It's been a while since I've up skilled at all, so taking the time to improve myself and my capabilities not for any specific reason, but because I want to.

If it looks like a Vision Pro, and acts like a Vision Pro, will it cost the same as a Vision Pro?

I finally did it: here you are my hands-on impressions on Roto VR, the rotating chair for #VirtualReality straight from my experience at CES! The article, as usual detailing pros and cons is available at this link: skarredghost.com/2025/01/20/r...

A weekend spent catching up on some #VR games I'd missed is never a wasted weekend.

So, a grand total of zero surprises then? Still will definitely be getting it. #Switch2 youtu.be/WxLUf2kRQRE

I'm mentoring visionOS devs at the MIT Reality Hack next week. This is my first big XR event so I'm really excited to meet people from our industry. Who else is going?

This Thursday, join us for the first SVVR of the year! Demos welcome - bring what you're working on to share. And if you were at #CES2025📷, we look forward to hearing your stories! More details on our speaker & link to register below - see you there. #VR #AR #spatialcomputing

Rebel Moon: The Descent is now available at @SandboxVR locations. Has anyone given it a go yet?

I'm working on giving a workshop about designing apps for the Vision Pro and best practices. What is the best designed app available on the visionOS store in your opinion?

Any Quest live streamers out there willing to help out someone getting started on their VR streaming journey on Twitch? I can offer general advice from years of SteamVR HMD streaming, but no Quest specific experience. I know there's tricks you guys pull for getting quality on your channels....

So... yes please?

Just a reminder you could be making some pretty cool friggin holograms right about now! We've got an SDK waiting for you... Get cracking. Dev Resources: www.tiltfive.com/make/develop... #indiedev #unity3d #Unreal #godot #NDK

Been absent from social media over the New Year period for... reasons.

"Turok: Origins is first and foremost a tribute to the original Turok games." You all know what I'm thinking here, right?

Yeah, I'm excited for this one. youtu.be/uKkwUzNHWIM

I talk with studios on a near-daily basis looking for that 'TikTok viral' content without understanding how it works. You can create content that looks similar, but ultimately there's only 2 ways to guarantee success with this: 1. Invest time to build a community. 2. Paid ads.

Played a little Indiana Jones last night. Certainly feels like Machine Games' Wolfenstein titles in the way the world is presented, but a totally different gameplay experience. The exploration is fun but simple. I'm looking forward to digging deeper and seeing if it opens up.

This is honestly an absolutely terrible trailer. And it's not the first. Do they think the game will sell on the strength of the licence alone, or is this just a drastic oversight? youtu.be/nDW1aFkGc_I?...

🚨 Cyber Monday Catchy Headline 🚨 Project Graveyard is 100% off today. It's normally $0.00 but today you can get it for just $0.00!!! I made it and I know it kinda sucks, but that's like the whole vibe radicalappdev.com/project-grav...

So this weekend I finally got some time to catch up on some of the big #VR games I'd missed from the past couple of months. But I'm interested in seeing what else has happened while I've been busy. What're the smaller games/experiences you'd recommend? #MetaQuest #MetaQuest3

Been a super hectic couple of weeks. Looking forward to a weekend full of relaxation and playing some recent #VR games I've missed.
