Just to emphasize: this is not a "kids these days" post. Apple and other tech companies intentionally changed both their hardware and software to trap people inside their ecosystems and make in increasingly difficult to fix or do things yourself. Tech wanted this, and you see same in older gens too

Struck by how similar all the NIMBY arguments are, which boil down to:
- cars are people
- if we build housing, poor people might live there
