That was me engaging with your argument. What I understood from what you said is that by using a handgun to kill 3 assaulters, I would be doing "more harm" to the world by killing 3 people. Instead, I should use tools that aren't good enough for the job, which would result in me being harmed.

U.S. militias have become emboldened and would likely hunt members of the LGBT+ community in groups if they went down that path. A taser has to be reloaded after every shot.
