As to the video where masked people kidnapped a woman in the street: 1. In spite of first instinct of unfathomable fear, demand identification. 2. If no ID, scream loudly! 3. Throw phone to passersby and yell who to contact. 4. See all those pigs who surrounded her? Have your own patrols.

A male Red-winged Blackbird showing his bright shoulder feathers as he flies low over the marsh. I saw a flock of about ten female Red-winged Blackbirds further down the path; these birds haven't paired up yet here. The males might still be figuring out territories.
