Buying gifts gets a little overwhelming when you start having kids. Especially when they are school age and you have to buy birthday gifts for their friends, and Christmas gifts for their teachers.

We've basically stopped buying gifts for the adults. We do a secret Santa for all the kids, and my parents have an annual Christmas party, and we do fun games with the kids for little prizes.

There's a similar Peruvian dish called papa rellena. It's essentially mashed potatoes, stuffed, rolled into a ball, and deep fried. It's delicious.
