honestly i take it all back. If this many people are into it, should do something like it every 4 years opposite the olympics (or maybe the NHL should recognize that the LACK of Olympics (and recent geopolitical factors) is why this game was so lets not shoehorn it in every season)

In case there were any concerns that USA hockey players and management were inadvertent victims of political blowback… Canadians need to boo the fuck out of the US anthem for the foreseeable future. Like, make it so persistent and awkward they stop doing the anthem before games.
