Yes, I just saw something on Twitter and so I came over here to find out more concrete information but nothing yet.
I did a search and found this, but when I went to SAMHSA, I couldn't access it because I am out of the US right now.

And I, as a white woman, feel even more indebted to women of color who have protested for the good of this country for how many years now. The time is now for US to get out and speak up, and not just for the rights of WW.

And this is their MO, their desire. They want to instill fear and make people feel pain, and I for one am feeling it. But I am also teetering on the precipice of that rage and fury you spoke of. Basically, IDGAF. But how do I channel such in an efficient manner?

I'm sorry, but when I think of "him", I don't think culture and I don't see cultured.

Well, the silver lining is, we may have fewer meds available to us, so that will save us money. 😱

February 17th Protest!!!!
I know many still have to work on this national holiday (one of a few that weren't cut) but the time is now to make our voices heard. WE must do something.

I have brought this up on other sites as it relates to the US gov't/Trump's statements about Gaza. Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention:

I couldn't afford my rheuma drug 6 yrs ago-I didn't qualify for Amgen's discount because I was on a partially subsidized gov't plan (Med Adv)-and because of not being on a neces med, I have damage in my spine and ribs (ankylosing). Now more people who can't afford meds will be sick/in pain/dying. 😢

What I lack in verbal acumen - I cannot articulate the emotions I am feeling right now as I read/see/hear everything going on in my country (US) and around the world right now - I employ on canvas.

I'm so glad to have found this account on this platform. Many of us in the US are very concerned about the situation in Gaza, and are now more concerned given recent remarks by the president.
I believe that Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention may need addressing. But I am just a lay person.

These are absolutely lovely. It is nice to know that no matter what happens in life, what is taken from us, even in the darkness, we have our imaginations. 💙💛

Thank you, but, we know, we know, and it doesn't seem to matter. I am dubious El*n cares much about the law and I don't think the law will prevail. (How icky my level of cynicism has become. How did I get here?)

Yes, I don't understand why there aren't more people concerned about this?! Are people just offline and living their lives or do they not believe DOGE has sinister plans? I'm living with elevated cortisol levels because of fear for the country and the world. BUT, maybe I am just a catastrophist. 🤔

I agree, however, Trump and his people always blame others for what they are actually doing, or are going to do. I believe he knows he lost in 2020 but he also knows he can claim "rigged election" and people will believe him. Given the recent @wired.com news about the DOGE team....curiosity piqued.

Been trying to keep up on the @wired.com reporting (excellent such) and of course, yours as well, @karaswisher.bsky.social . I am grateful for those educating the masses on the quick clip at which these people are traveling, but my god, my mental health is quickly declining.

Indeed it is unnerving. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find the light because the weight of darkness is coming from so many directions. Please take care.

Thank you for the edification. I had only heard heard Yarvin's name in passing until a month ago when I read the NYTimes piece about him. It sent chills down my spine. (I guess, at least I have one.) But until now, I hadn't read/heard anything further about him and now it is all coming together.

Thank you Tilly for this advice. I have had conversations with a couple of close friends and family members but they feel similarly to me. (I will share your suggestions w/them.) In the near future, I will talk with people outside of this "bubble" and if met with transphobia, I will stand strong. 🏳️⚧️

Waking and shaking slumber's dander off this morn, I read the news back home in the US and begin the 2nd daily shake, not setting loose the dander, but because of my nerves are on fire. So I logon to Bluesky and find, through a myriad of channels, your beautiful and bountiful art. Glee in the now.🍂

Thank you. I feel rudderless as to how to help show solidarity, how I can help support this community (and other marginalized groups) and so I do what I can, but I feel my megaphone is more thimble-sized, but not because of a lack of desire/strength, but more of a "how". Take care.

I have a number of pins on my jean jacket - shhh, I am a Gen Xer - and I am proud to don them. But maybe it is naive of me to wear it and not care what others think when I am not living the life of a trans person? I am just proud to show my solidarity.

I feel, for me at least, in all times but especially those like the present, we need some sense of community, whatever that may look like to each individual.

Thank you. I will tell them about this. In difficult times, it is information about people like Robert Smalls that we need to bear in mind.

Thank you for sharing.
I went online and looked up further information on Smalls and wrote my aunt and uncle who recently moved to South Carolina and told them about his legacy.
Since 2023, the state of South Carolina has celebrated Robert Smalls Day every May 13.

Thank you. This is precisely what is wanted/needed right now.
I recently read Audre Lorde's "Sister Outsider: Essays and Speeches".
