Have you heard about Rebecca Romney’s upcoming talk at Brown about Austen’s peers?

I've seen them before, but honestly I think that was when Isbell was with them. Haven't seen them since.

it was phenomenal I can't wait to catch another one. He told a story about only children in which a 5 year old thought he was singing "hide a corn dog in your backpack" and I will sing it that way forever now.

not for nothing but there was a point in Brown's history where they would more or less amble around Providence and cajole young men into attending. Even back then students preferred Harvard to Brown. Maybe these players were some of those kids

They are fun. I’ll walk around with it in my pocket making plans for the winnings. Once I’ve gotten my plan, I’ll scratch it off. Also if I spend $1 on a ticket I’ll put 1 dollar into an s&p fund because I’m a nerd.

Same thing happened to us this morning! The map is a powerful tool. I guess what’s important is that you went-kids absorb visual information differently from adults, so just going is an enrichment

It’s powerful. Messier objects, planets, stars. All around banger. Some pics I’ve taken with it.

celestron is good quality. the larger the diameter of the scope, the more powerful it is. @hulcricket.bsky.social told me to get a 10 inch dobsonian. I should have; I cheapened out and got this one (which I love!). overall, it's a perfect starter scope.
