I had already resigned to accepting that these toys were long lost, and now I have to accept again that they're gone. The friends and partner that these toys were connected to are still with me, and I love them dearly. I'll be okay. My brother is a fucking idiot.

We eventually arrived at the next motel in Mount Gambier at 11:30pm, eight hours after leaving Adelaide, and basically immediately crashed in bed physically and emotionally exhausted by everything.
I'm sore and tired this morning, but handling things better. I'm still angry at him for his shit.

So instead of getting to start the first big leg of the trip energized by Zen's cool new tattoos and feeling like everything on this move was going right, it was several hours of processing anger at my brother for being so completely careless and unwilling to accept responsibility for what he did.

I received these photos the minute Zen and I got into the car, fresh out of his second tattoo appointment, ready to get on the road. And then when I expressed how much these photos upset and hurt me, my brother proceeded to give backhanded apologies and shift blame onto me for leaving a day early.
