Although, for a firm fabric like denim, you don’t necessarily need the loom and you can do different visible mending techniques like sashiko. The tool is great for knits because they are stretchy and floppy, and the loom holds everything in place

When I moved to NC we lived just up the mountain from a small college’s baseball diamond and it was very restorative to hear their small crowds cheering in the distance. Also the ping of aluminum bats on practice days
