It did lead to awesome grifters, like Lord Gordon Gordon, who fucked over Jay Gould and almost caused a war between Minnesota and Canada en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Go...

The knock on Corel I've heard is that it doesn't play well with Accurip, which is the program we we output from. I hear it's buggy if you ask it to do too much. And limited. But some people love it. It's cheap and I may take a trial plunge, it's on the list. I'll let you know!

Polish for editing and Phonto for layout and text mainly. IbisPaint for certain things. It's amazing how good free phone apps are. Kids today don't know how good they have it. Just low-res and won't scale, but image trace usually fixes that pretty easiy. Helps me to be able to work on the fly.

I do apparel design now. We use mostly PS and Illustrator. Main task is vectoring and color separation. I'll actually design on my phone a lot and then clean/edit in the Adobe programs. Thinking about checking out Corel but I've heard mixed reviews.

Design off and on for 30 years. Aging myself here, but I started on Quark Express in the 90s lol. I stepped away from it for a while and got rusty, decided to reteach myself when COVID hit and I got stuck in the house. Had to learn the new programs. So I'm experienced and also a noob simultaneously.

Started a magazine after college with a couple partners. Small staff, so it was all hands on deck. I took on the "art direction" role out of necessity, had a little knowledge of layout/design from my major, and it became one of the hats I wore and I ended up liking it. Just a continuation of that.

True story my worst injury ever was a freak gardening accident. I didn't die but my leg does predict the weather now. Do not recommend.

Can't go wrong with anything really. Greatest British band of all time, possibly GOAT band period. IMHO of course.

I got the kinks thing too but mine's Arthur. Love this one too but Arthur is the one that's never drifted out of rotation for me.

I mean, they endorsed a convicted felon over a former prosecutor and DA. It's on them for being dumbasses.
