We're all having a bad day here with the way things are going. At least we have my LGD girl snoring away in my bed for a distraction.

Today's daily wake the fack up track: (We'll have pork photos in a few weeks. In the meantime though, continue operation liberté.) open.spotify.com/track/5d8Wq3...

People on X are calling for AOC's arrest for posting this.... so I am posting it everywhere!

REPOST if you support our federal workforce and know how dedicated they are to their jobs. Show them you appreciate them!

Eggs are back on sale ...are you still here reading or did you jump in your car? Ok, so supply is still tight for the next couple months likely, please limit yourself to 2 dozen eggs per household per day. We are at best generating a dozen a day right now so.

First, enjoy the piggies in our rare snow. They had some cute zoomies in it. Now, onto business. I have to say I have been so touched by some of the community engagement we've had so far. I woke up this morning to someone emailing me asking if they could do volunteer work for Squeals on Wheels.

Perfect little toe beans in the mud from our barn kitties

So depressing that V for Vendetta becomes more relevant than ever. 😞

Looking forward to reading these and learning cheese making ahead of my goats being in milk.

The sunset the other night here

Taking a moment to take it all in. Breathe. I don't like to make political posts generally. But what's already happening, this assault on immigrants, transgender people, women, the national food supply, science... I try to remember that what we're doing here, feeding our community is important.

We get a lot of the fog in the valley and it's always beautiful. Especially so when we get a hard frost like we've been getting lately and it all turns to small crystals.

Our livestock guarding girl is almost done recovering from her spay and tooth extraction. She was pretty cozy with her snowman plush the vet gave her.

My freeloaders enjoying a veggie buffet whilst I have to contemplate buying eggs at the grocery store. When I saw the normal, 45+ day old mass market eggs were now up to $6.50 a dozen (usually less than $3) I nearly had a stroke. Somehow the small farm is cheaper at $5, and $5 they shall remain at.

Ah yes, the struggles of owning very large dogs and never being able to open or close doors/cabinets or use the stairs. 😂

I can't wait to try some of the recipes in this awesome cookbook I received as a Christmas gift from my brother and sister in law! Especially with our pigs going to freezer camp in February.

We always leave scotch snd popcorn out for Santa. Our border collie Malak gets very excited about the air popped popcorn because he loves it. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
