There's also some racist connotation in this kind of usage of the word 'boy'. I'm assuming Hipkins (and his social media team) is ignorant of this rather than using it as a dog whistle, but. Politicians (and their social media teams) need to be very aware of how their words might be perceived.

I was about to make a joke about headphones rebranding "active noise cancelling" as "AI noise cancelling" but then I did a quick internet search and of course this is what they're doing. The end goal is to have no more product specific terminology. It'll all just be "with AI✨".

Hello Wellington I've been using my UV Blunt to protect myself from the bad sun rays and this has been attracting comments from the people who licked too much paint in their youth. "It's not raining!" 🙄 Anyway could other people please do the same? It would be great if this could be normalised.
