Thinking today of my late father-in-law, and the fact he pronounced Damocles (he of sword fame) as Damockles. He was a true gem.

"We will save you from the bad guys. We are the hero." This is the logic of the Drama Triangle. This is the structure of classic children's stories. That's one reason it appeals to so many grown-ups. It is familiar, comforting. It is a logic that ignores the complexities of adulthood.

Finally got my bike back from its service (not the bike shop's fault - mine). Lovely to be back out and doing some errands on it today. First outing for the new basket from Northern Willow too.

Real world data that shows the reduction in energy use when switching from gas to heat pump. The level of reduction is broadly in line with theoretical estimates. (see my pinned illustrations)

There was a good program on Channel 5 tonight. “Heat Pumps: Are They Really Worth It” It was well researched. Users explained how their home is now more comfortable and slightly cheaper to run. This is what my customers say too. The Government has to make sure those that need it most can afford one.

I would like to see the money reduced by half for every faithful they vote out in the final on #thetraitors. How many traitors did they genuinely believe there were?! That was a disappointing ending.
