I had a bat fly into me in the twilight on a wooded path. I liked to think it was because I was too fast for its sonar to pick me up 😜 Neither of us were harmed, just alarmed.

I don't think I ever read it, but the cover illustration seems very familiar to me. Those stories from childhood are so precious 😍

I think my daughter still has my copy of Mortimer's Tie. She's now 27 and also obsessed with corvids! He was so naughty.

I think they're amazing. One of my favourite books as a kid was about a girl and her rescued raven. His name was Mortimer. I just want to be their friend!

I couldn't get my bike out today because my garage door is broken. Sad because it is such a lovely day. Decided to walk and get the bus instead, and got to tell a lady at the bus stop how much I liked her boots. Couldn't have done that in my van.

This was my set up during my brief attempt at working off a bike. There were a number of factors in in being so brief, none of them to do with the bike. I still miss it.

I went down into a Victorian section of the London sewers once. Every single brick laid by hand. It was beautiful (and not particularly smelly).

I saw a man sitting on a bench this morning, feeding two crows from his hand. I wanted to be both his friend and him.

I went to a Medieval women's writing exhibition at the British Library last week. There was an account of a trans woman on trial for soliciting. 630yrs old evidence.

By "new parents" I think he just means misogynistic fathers. What a mean spirited knob.

Despair and division are friends of fascism. We must remain connected through love and respect, and have faith that things will change for the better ❤️

No, we haven't, but Im tempted. He's a rescue from Romania. The only breed I'd put money on him having is husky, but the rest is anyone's guess! How about yours?

I'm sad to say that I keep thinking of what happened to the Ceasescus in Romania and hoping for a reprise in the US.
