Realised I haven’t really done an update on the Volvo on here. Sven passed an MOT (wahoo!) but when we got the car back the EML light was still on… trip to a Volvo specialist soon, as well as some new tyres. Not giving up hope just yet! Still a gorgeous, shiny thing 💙🇸🇪 #volvo #volvoc30

Volvo MOT day… Thrice stated and agreed on the work order with the garage (replacement relay fitted, clear codes, MOT) They called this afternoon stating “Mechanic didn’t want to replace the relay needed to fix the EML first, so he went ahead and MOT’d the car. Oh, it failed on the EML light.”

Factoid: 1975 & the Mini’s suitability for city traffic is captured well in this ad which also has the period mention about petrol prices at the end. Btw, this Mini is in Citron, a rare colour for this car & an example of a ‘high visibility’ or ‘safety’ colour briefly favoured by some manufacturers…

SAAB 900 Estate. A prototype version was built at Trollhättan in 1981, though this conversion is by SAAB’s Dutch importer AIM. The conversion used the existing lamps, with the tailgate using the lower part of the hatch and a custom upper panel. Two are believed to exist. #weirdcarbluesky
