Bits of it only last so long anyway, I had to get mine redone in my 40's when travelling to some iffy countries.

I mean, yes, Scottish people are fearsome and speak a different language...... I would be reading her the riot act and demanding a reduction in fees, after all, she's only doing half the job.

I use cheap kebab skewers round plants to keep the pigeons off too.

WTF! It's sending funds from one UK bank to another, while the legal system is slightly different, the banking one is the same. Tell her to do her flaming job. People buy in one and sell in the other all the time, that's a bonkers attitude

How have I never seen this before! As a teen in the 70's this is both awesome and accurate 😁😁

Thanks. OH on pills, better diet and exercise which have everything under control. Eating a bit healthier won't do me any harm though I've gone back to ordinary salt for what little I use plus iron supplements and balance seems to be restored. Of course, I might just have been being a grumpy cow.

Hope Mr H on the mend. Funny, I also described myself the same way over the last couple of weeks, have been blaming the healthy diet we're on because OH had sky high blood pressure. Glad you're heading back to normal.

Elsie is the same, she has a carrot at tea time and looks pointedly at the fridge if we are late.

Aaargh, missed it again. Need to get on the mailing list for next year and plan an overnight van trip.

😆😆😆 our Evri driver stops to make a fuss of Elsie through the gate, but we're on first name terms he's here so often, so he counts as pack 😁

We have another that has taken longer to get into shape with the result it was full of water shoots and the apples were all 15 to 20 ft in the air. Did some drastic work on that one over the winter and it will get a summer prune. It's still alive but has a lot less blossom, it's a long term project.

I have DNF't stuff that others have raved about, but I'm enjoying the ripple out effect consequences for the individuals involved. The library have the other one too but I've got 13 others out at the moment so it can wait. Goes off to check out Ken Grimwood......

I haven't worn contacts since my going out days and then only as fashion accessories. I need such dark glasses in the slightest bit of sun that it's glasses only now. I will take my prescription to the good opticians in retail park town and save several hundred pounds on comparable lenses.

I go to the optician in the posh town because the optometrist they use is very good, however the prices for everything is nuts, and they tried to sell me a consultation with a specialist on dry eyes. I bought some drops at boots.

M&S have changed all the names of their own brand stuff, it's now called Formula and both the day creams have spf30.

I have a lot of Heuchera Obsidian and that has nothing to do with Deep Space 9. <might have>

I use M&S own brand day cream which has an spf15. I'm a wrinkly so it's the lilac tub for "mature skin". As I'm out a lot and burn easily I use Beauty Pie's spf 50 base which is far lighter than facial suncream and works well. Clarins used to do a version of it but changed the formula & it's pants.

Bursts of rain, not heavy enough for the garden unfortunately, then beautiful sunshine for just long enough to tempt you outdoors and start something in time for the showers again.

I put some yoghurt in plain bread when I'm baking, it gives a lighter texture to my attempts.

The house I grew up in, built in the mid 60's had the open tread wood stairs. Fell down them top to bottom several times as a wain. Might explain a lot come to think of it.
