Senate needs to respond to mass firings of Jan 6 attack prosecutors by rejecting Trump nominees. Have a spine and stand up to this autocratic effort to rewrite history and embolden political violence. Block Bondi and Patel.

So Trump wants to eliminate FEMA and turn over disaster response to the states. That was the same strategy he promoted during COVID, and it left states competing for resources. This seems to be Trump's main MO: if it's hard, turn it over to the states. It comes from incompetence.

The US should consider merging with Canada. They have 10 provinces and 3 territories, each of which could become a state. We'd have to negotiate for their health care system to be adopted throughout the US. I'm not sure what they'd want from us.
