Donald Trump is no longer the most powerful American in the world... #LeoXIV

I’m not Catholic but was interested in watching the new Pope speak. Until the BBC used what seemed to be an AI instant translation - robotic and lifeless and oh so loud. Truly abysmal. I had to turn it off.

Today my Alexa thinks I’m in Chelmsford. I’ve had an ad for Boots in Chelmsford, starting with the phrase “Hey Chelmsford” & an ad for BP telling me my nearest one is in Notley Cross (which is in Braintree). I am in Bow, East London, 35+ miles away. How is this targetting of ads in any way progress?

Yet again, news media decide that the one person who should be consulted for a soundbite about Trump is someone just 4 MPs in his party. Hey @lbc.co.uk - why not ask the Lib Dems? Or even someone from the opposition if you don’t want a government spokesman? Why continually platform Farrago?

Anyone in Brighton this evening, come along and see us, it’s going to be fun! And if you can’t make it then check out the podcast instead! www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/bri...

Of course it is. Because there weren’t enough non-white/non-male people in the room to point out what would happen. Or else they weren’t listened to.

I got up extra early (& I’m NOT a morning person) so I could watch the Severance finale before getting spoiled but O. M. G. That was SO worth getting up for. That was utterly bloody epic. And great 60s jazz for atmos too. Don’t make us wait another 3 years @benstiller.redhour.com, pretty please?

I have no idea why Duolingo thinks this is a useful sentence. Where on earth would you ever use it?

Great piece on how a late diagnosis of ADHD affected one barrister.

I think Alexa might need to brush up on her rugby knowledge, as even when you get quite specific she gets very confused. Her final question almost finished me off! #6Nations #SixNations #WalvEng

Dear Marketing Departments. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in asking whether I’d like to opt out of Mother’s Day emails. But. My mother will be just as dead next year, so doing it every year rather defeats the point, don’t you think? This is by no means the only one.

Everytime I have to sign an NDA for a voiceover job, this pops into my mind! #severance

I’m not worried about AI just yet part 75 (aka the salesmen are overselling the product again). www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Don’t know who’s in charge of the volume for the PA at London Stadium, but the test just now for tonight’s West Ham match v Leicester was bloody loud!! I know as the crow flies I’m only about 400m away but I still shouldn’t be able to hear it clearly inside a building with all the windows closed!

The government's AI consultation is deliberately overlong and jargon-heavy to discourage responses. You don't have to answer every question! ALCS has a guide to the important questions and how to interpret them, which means you can fill it out in about ten minutes: www.alcs.co.uk/news/your-ri...

I’ve been rewatching the first two seasons of Hacks on Now TV & have just started the long awaited season 3. Is it just our household being shown the Ruggable ad every single blasted ad break or are there no other ads on the platform?

“But the small single play that allows a writer to be themselves or rather – crucially – to become themselves is increasingly rare. A writer’s loss is an audience’s loss too…” www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...

Elton John calls for UK copyright rules rethink to protect creators from AI

More Hot Flashes out today, with some amazing #Menopause Monologue performances in each episode. Listen now: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/h...

I think we’re safe from AI just for the moment at least. I’m sitting in Hackney and have just been served a “smart” radio ad on Classic FM encouraging me to join a Nuffield Gym in Didsbury, Manchester. I’ve never even been to Didsbury. 🤷‍♀️

Amazing how quickly the security element of 'Project Fear' turned out to be an almighty bloody understatement...
