HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY

Apparently my role in the family is to explain funeral choices and deathcare processes 🫡

Help There's a very specific literary device (?) I can't find the name for and I don't know how to describe it: "her existing is beautiful" where it's read as "her (act of) existing" I thought I'd heard it in a film but I've literally read the script and can't see it

I've just shared a blog post! ⚰️ I've not really blogged before but I really love being able to work in deathcare. Here's a little post about how and why I got into this career: #DeathPositive substack.com/@skelouton/n...

Very happy to spend this spring day out in nature 🌷🍄

Here's my mini-review for MY ROOMMATE IS A VAMPIRE! (I love it!) 📚💙 skeloutonwrites.wordpress.com/2025/03/02/m...

I'm deeply into another Vampire Era and this book is largely to thank for it: My Roommate is a Vampire

I've been outside for several hours today and lemme tell you it does wonders for the soul

If anyone is based in Cornwall and looking for somewhere to enjoy the sunshine this weekend, my other half has her first stall of the year this coming Sunday. It's at Potager Garden between Falmouth and Helston. Here's her Etsy shop for anyone not local www.etsy.com/uk/shop/cath...

Holding a book but doomscrolling because my brain feels rotten

Better late than never! I'm starting a thread of books I've read each month this year 📚💙

Good morning from me and Bella 🐈‍⬛

Hello March I am not ready for you

Mum's 3 weeks into chemo to try to treat her blood cancer! It's a really rough time and I'm constantly worried about her. But we're doing what we can. My brother and I are taking part in a charity walk for her at the end of March ⬇️ www.justgiving.com/team/willing...

Squad I am at my limit

Remains is my baby book and I'm so proud of it 🥺💜

Every major UK newspaper - left, right, broadsheet, tabloid - is running a front page campaign against copyright carveouts for AI training. I can't remember the last time any political cause had such broad support, let alone one so anti-big tech and so economically consequential.

Here's my review for The Invisible Man!

Told D's sister yesterday "it's not a competition but I have to win" in who finishes our book club read first because I've got 0 chill

Almost forgot to post my 20th book of the year — “Love” by @louwrites.bsky.social Excellent as always! I like how the four chapbooks fit together, with a poem in this one that pulls them together. I can almost see them as one longer volume. #BookSky www.goodreads.com/book/show/22...

I'm yearning for the characters from NQO tonight and that's a very rare thing for me these days

D paid for me to get my nails done today as a birthday treat and I feel so feminine 💅 my boyfriend paid for these 💅
