We’re on Episode 7 of the first series. Just Series 2 and The Return series to go. I still don’t think I can manage Fire Walk With Me again, remain traumatised from the first time 😱

And M&S food too as they advertise on GB News 😫

Trying to avoid buying stuff from US companies which is very hard!

We shamefully scoffed Tuna Melts from Starbucks and crisps in the car after a pit stop at Warwick Services. Mike has been out to Waitrose to get “some nice bits” so whatever those are will be had later whilst catching up with Astrid and another episode of Twin Peaks

Get the local train out to Cascáis and / or Estoril if you have time, only takes about 25 minutes.

Glad we bought a couple of extra CPO shares when this bunch bought the club

A young Zola on the left with her sister Astra, and our first lovely old boy Snookies on Box Hill, summer ‘76

There are many different coat colours! Two of Zola’s litter sisters are black with tan and white markings, you can get blue brindled, red, white, gold. A whole rainbow of Afghan Hounds! Our family’s first Afghan back in 1970 was also black coated.

It’s absolutely fine! We took Zola to the beach today and to our surprise we met another Afghan ☺️

No, no - it’s ok, we can still make 10.30 work so Plan A is still Plan A ☺️
comment in response to post
Is it going to be a massive pain for you if we say 11.30 on Sunday rather than 10.30? ☺️

Ah that’s rough! They’re having a storming season

Yes!!! That’s the phrase I was grappling for and couldn’t find! Abandoned Luncheonette is one of my favourite albums - and Had I Known You Better can still make me cry ☺️

It annoys me that Hall and Oates get labelled as Yacht Rock. Their early stuff especially is beautifully soulful

Fascinating! My dad was, for many years, branch secretary of the TGWU at the beautiful (sadly demolished) Firestones factory on the Great West Road in Brentford. I used to help him count out the workers’ subs and mark up their membership books ☺️

Yes, we did eat there one evening! And I’m now on the Sidmouth / Rye episode of Miss Austen, very much enjoying it ☺️

See also 2 hopes. Bob and No

I’ll ask Zola to check her social calendar, she’ll be back ☺️

It’s the hope that kills you - having none must be why we’re still alive 😫

Zola is beyond excited 😂

I know there’s that place actually on the Common that gets very busy with posh young families - Pear Tree? Or I can check with Alice if she has a better suggestion, or do you?

That would be doubly lovely if Julie is free. 10.30 ish?

Sadly we are unable to promise such restraint 😂

Aaaah! Belated happy birthday Julie xxx

We went to Rye for a few days last Spring, really enjoyed it. Paid homage to Mapp and Lucia

I grimly sat it out from the sofa.It was truly, truly awful - but at least I had the heating on and didn’t have the misery of Falmer Station. And could bore my daughter with tales of life at Sussex University in the early 80s. Which was way more fun than watching the game

Agree with all that although I’ve reached the age where I substitute comfortable for confident 😁

Will have to catch up with that

That sounds lovely! Sunday? We usually head over to the common. Alice is Clapham South so will speak to her and arrange a time ☺️

We’re in Chester, used to come down for 6 - 8 home games and some of the north west aways, usually the less glamorous games - especially when you had teams like Wigan, Bolton, Burnley in the Prem. Only managed a handful of games last year, none this. Partly health related but sad about it
