So excited to share that we're working to support special schools, pupil referral units and units attached to mainstream schools with climate change education. All learners should have equal access to exciting topics such as #sustainability. www.swansea.ac.uk/press-office... #EnvironmentalEducation

Smart reading of monstrosity, fluid female bodies, and sanctioned violence in the Resident Evil series: @morganmushroom.bsky.social's "Mouldy Matriarchs and Dangerous Daughters: An Ecofeminist Look at Resident Evil Antagonists” journal.media-culture.org.au/index.php/mc...

No cash policies “disadvantage a number of groups, including low-income people who don’t have bank accounts, people who have accounts but don’t qualify for credit or debit cards, the homeless, undocumented immigrants and older adults.”

One thing that’s great about being up at 5:50am is: nothing 0/10 do not recommend

In high school, I created an imaginary land where the only boys allowed were the ones who treated us with respect (so, like, one or two). This is still relevant. New iteration of the University of Lyle: just women. Fuck all y'all.

Myth-busting time! Small actions may seem minor, but together, they create powerful climate solutions. Every bit counts! Can you bring change in your classroom or group? Take a look at the resources available on our website #ClimateChangeEducation #SciEd #EnvironmentalEducation #EduBluesky

This Buy Nothing Day, let’s reflect on the impact of our choices. You & CO2 empowers students to understand & address consumption's role in climate change. Now playing: With Those We Love Alive (2014) by xrafstar.monster/games/twine/... (One of my favorite videogames--a beautiful, weird, prickly, melancholy work of videogame literature. I've taught it in over a dozen English courses.)

This month is #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, but today we want to let you know about a couple 2024 spec-fic titles from First Nations authors around the world like: A Vicious Game by #MelissaBlair, Sunforge by #SaschaStronach, and Enclave by #ClaireGColeman, to name just a few!

The aim of #GwenerGwyrdd / #GreenFriday is to encourage people to think twice before you hit the sales and shop #BlackFriday. Just questioning whether you *need* or *want* something is the first step to consuming more responsibly. #BuyNothingDay

I love the Ignyte Awards and I cherish my finalist medals. This is a thread. Get to know this award and how it operates, because it's remarkable. (P. S. FIYAHcon 2021 was legendary. The highest of the highs.)

All women, LGBTQIA+, POC, immigrants, working class, and disabled folx (and any marg'd group I, er, marg'd here) should just receive extra padding in their workloads to deal with bullying. Bc this is what f*cks with our time the most. #AcademicSky

What are we doing? Teaching climate change through digital activities, You and CO2 is an innovative, interdisciplinary project combining research and public engagement activities regarding the global problem of climate change on a local scale. buff.ly/3ZrYRXb #climatechange #digitalactivity

A student just told me they could only get through 20 minutes of #HotFrosty. This doubles my desire to live-skeet a viewing. Who's with me?!?!

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky

Considering dusting off my old live-chirping skilz and comedy-watching "Hot Frosty" this week. Because the world is a dumpster fire, why not.

The struggle to go get your meds when you haven't had your meds today is real.

This is the content I came here for.

The world is a shitshow, but we got an excellent skylight show at the farm last night.

Of all the things to DDOS attack, why the internet archive? That's just mean and dumb.

Hey, y'all — I'm live on Twitch with the incredibly charming It Takes Two to Tangle, a King's Quest fangame. Join me for an adventure! twitch.tv/decafjedi

Yay me! My US 2024 Election vote is cast. Go blue!

Fridays are supposed to be my creative/research days. But I sit down and just... stare at the screen like a zombie. Fitting for October, I guess. #AcademicSky

I really want people to understand that this is just as awful and upsetting and invasive for a trans girl as it would be for a cis girl under the same scrutiny. Because when it happens to cis girls/women people get upset, but when it’s an actual trans girl somehow it’s “complicated.” It’s not.
