Yeah, if it had just been the pjs it wouldn't have been so traumatic.

They were less than helpful with us, too. We sweated the delivery of the replacement computer but it came without a problem, thankfully. It's a crapshoot for sure.

We have no idea where the delivery was made (not our neighborhood) but we imagine them sitting in my pajamas using the new laptop. 🙄

We had the same thing happen a couple months ago with some clothing and my husband's new laptop. 😬 UPS showed it as delivered but it was not our porch! We went back and forth with them but finally reported it to the vendors and they made the orders good. I guess they went after UPS for the $$.

Oh, no blame intended - I'm so sorry anyone has to go through this. It's just pretty remarkable that we're getting the effects of it here, even though I do know how wind currents work. Hope it's under control soon! 🙏

I don't even remember where I saw it recommended, but it intrigued me!

I've watched it three times and could watch it three more - so beautifully compelling.

Hallo, Womble! I'm taking it easy today after Friday's infusion session, about halfway through Chuck Wendig's creepy The Staircase in the Woods. Looking forward to the rest of my library pile, especially Adrian Tchaikovsky's Day's of Shattered Faith.

SFF is my go-to, but I do read some of almost everything there is: mystery, horror, YA, historical fiction. I am pretty indiscriminate, haha.

That sounds really good too - thanks! I need to branch out once in a while from my usual SFF.

I just know that being a part of a small town community theater production of it in 1991 still rates as one of the best experiences of my life, lo these many years later.

Greetings, Womble! I'm halfway through the English translation of Polish author Olga Tokarczuk's Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, by turns quirky, darkly funny, and heartbreaking. Thanks to @drkyliesmith.bsky.social for posting about it!

Me too, and I also waited a little too late before starting to watch.
