I can’t remember if the D-Pad was used for much, but I think having it be 2 inputs to change elemental warriors makes it harder to accidentally swap when you don’t mean to (and, say, loosing your spiked enemies on chilla), and means you could have 9-12 warriors selectable at any one time!

For REEEEEAL!! Like it’s not without its problems, but it’s a style of game we haven’t had in a while imo.
I think it’s biggest problem is form power creep, and the fact that you have to menu navigate to change outside of the 3 forms you have on your buttons. But those are solvable problems!

I’m in a not dissimilar boat. I started a job last week, 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday.
However thanksgiving is being held further away than usual, and later than usual, so I can’t go…
Truth be told… I cried myself to sleep today thinking about it. Idk how many more family gatherings there are gonna be
