I remember (as a then Washingtonian) when Patty Murray was first elected. I knew her heart was in the right place, but wondered if she'd "make it" in DC (tennis shoes and all). She is exactly what America needs in the US Senate!

It is so sad and pathetic that "we" as a country have been reduced to this level of idiocy in Washington DC.

I too have struggled with reading. I am currently reading Day by Michael Cunningham and it is beautifully written without overdoing it. Great characters and I'm sweeping right through it.
