Hopefully, people understand that. But even still, we need our representatives to make some noise. Hold press conferences, do interviews, be in the media, shouting these indiscretions from the rooftops for all to hear so no one can miss it. Even the people living in their bubbles. Bring on the shame

What will happen is that we will get exactly what we deserve.

Unfortunately, that's the only way most Americans learn... when it happens to them. I can't tell you how crazy it makes me to hear, "I'm so confused! It wasn't supposed to work like that!" from people who have been calling us "misinformed," "stupid," and "on the wrong side of history," now for years

I know I definitely dont have it as bad as some, but I have had to learn how to carefully navigate this landscape. But I work in the background, as do many others. And we will continue to do so in our limited but meaningful efforts.

Luckily, I know where my safe circle is, and we do our best to make change. But I also know who not to engage with. Sadly, some of these people are those closest to me. I've tried with them, to my detriment.

Our votes don't count, so we have voting strategies that attempt to keep the worst of the worst out of office, but that rarely works. Long story short, we try. But it's so so so hard.

Some can demonstrate, but with the risk that our employer might see us on the news and it will threaten our livelihood or the livelihood of our family members. Its all a good ol boys club here, ya know...

Trying to have a persuasive discussion with them only leads to attacks and more suspicion and suppression. Contacting the legislators does absolutely nothing, but yet we try, calling when we have moments alone from other suspicious eyes, from work, in cars, in waiting rooms....

Every instance of indoctrination lve ever seen in schools in my red state have been right-sided rants. But conversations happen in private between like-minded people. And attempts to influence others continues. But it's slow because we need to first determine if someone is "safe."

Phones are checked, as are search histories. Everything is largely church moderated, so church leaders are closely monitoring their "flock," with everyone being considered their flock, even the atheist ones who are not affiliated with religion. Teachers do this, too...

Then, once you have learned and want to act, mobilizing is difficult because conversations have to happen in the underground. Houses are divided, so maga spouses/parents/family are constantly monitoring their left-leaning spouses/kids/family to harshly rebuke them at any sign of descent....

We are. But the reality of living in a solidly red state is that it's hard to organize. First, it's hard to get information. We have Bluesky and foreign news outlets, but information is largely suppressed by media and by the vast majority or the surrounding population. Then...

I make some kind of contact every day, but this looks promising if we can share enough. The website has a lot of useful information. Sign the strike card! generalstrikeus.com/strikecard

It was never about selling cars anyway. It was always about surveillance.
