Those who yearn for a king are mere pawns, the first to be sacrificed to further the despots position.

Mebot crew at Oregon AI Conference.

At Oregon AI Conference in Newport, Oregon. It’s interesting to see how diverse the industries are in the audience. Impressed to see hospitality and food & beverage represented.

I couldn’t resist posting another pic and vid. #doublerainbow!

God I just love the Oregon coast.

Presence. You can skip this one #filmsky. I don’t mind the commitment to the visual gimmick, but the B story gets completely abandoned and it feels thin and stretched. Plus the mustache twirling villain at the end is gross and silly. Would have been a better Twilight Zone episode.

Beautiful day in St. John’s PDX. Cheers to PNW in winter.

The comic shop didn’t have the first Reckless book but I bought Friend of the Devil anyway. No regrets. It rocks. Now to track down the rest of the series. #comicsky

Ready to judge a book by its cover. Found this at the comic shop across the street. Should I buy it?

Watson enjoying a run in Forest Park with me. So happy to be back in Portland.

Remember Die Hard 3 where the entire city is freaking out about bombs in schools and while everyone is distracted they rob the treasury? Does Greenland and the Panama Canal make sense now?

Hey, I somehow made it to 100 followers without even trying. Thanks #bluesky for being such a welcoming place for someone with zero interest in being an influencer.

Dogs of War is brilliant. It may be my favorite Tchaikovsky book. I think it would make an incredible Animé if anyone has the courage to adapt it. Any other fans on #booksky?

Pitch for a Jurassic World movie: family living in South America village is destroyed by natural disaster from climate change. They flee as refugees across hostile landscapes in conflict between dinos and the local eco system + governments in collapse from the climate chaos.

Arkham series on sale on Steam. Never played Asylum. Beating the piss out of villains by smashing buttons is so much fun. Plus we get all of the rogues gallery. Arkham City is far superior upgrade but the OG still slaps. And can’t get enough Kevin Conroy. RIP the real Batman.

Happy Winter Solstice everyone!

Reaction videos to a string of clips while dressed in a costume has to be one of the laziest karma farming trends. Gets me so annoyed. Instant skip. Let me just watch the people falling over and laugh at them without your stupid deadpan face.

#wwdits finale was 👌. Outrageous but with heart. Reminded us about our favorite character moments and storylines but made fun of itself. I will miss this show but they went out on top. Bravo you silly, sexy vampires. What do you think #tvsky

My wife heard of a friend’s mom passing and I quote her “that’s the worst because grammas are the freaking best”.

Just a fly in the ointment. A monkey in the wrench. A pain in the ass.

Getting older is realizing that Hanz Gruber was stealing from a multi-national corporation with oil projects in Indonesia and the theft would be 10 days of operating costs that would probably be covered by insurance.

#booksky I can’t recommend Tana French enough. She has an incredible ear for dialogue and her characters feel so real. Plus Roger Clarke is one of the best audiobook narrators I have ever experienced. Start with The Searcher then follow up with the sequel The Hunter.

Watson says “Hi Buddy”

Ran into some old friends in PDX. Damn I love this town. Excited to get back here more often next year.

Words to live by, you fucking idiot.

I liked A Real Pain. Feels like an indie movie from two decades ago that rarely gets a theatrical release these days. No big moments or arcs but it’s a solid character study. Eisenberg is smart to let Culkin be the charismatic lead and doesn’t over direct.

Seeing A Real Pain at my old neighborhood theater in Portland, Laurelhurst Theater. Feels good to be back. Let you know my thoughts after #filmsky

Trimmed the beard down. Going for a Lee Van Cleef look. Angel Eyes, one of cinemas best villains.

I may have enjoyed this novella Livesuit more than the first book of The Mercy of Gods. Starship Troopers vibes but with less fascism. What do you think #booksky
