Whatever the equivalent of lying on the ground and screaming I WON’T GOOOO at the top of your lungs.

It’s totally plausible the in-group believes something between “this isn’t really happening” since they’ve been taught not to trust their senses and intuition all the way to “it’s happening, but that won’t ever happen to me.” I think we saw this with COVID-19.

White neurotypical culture relies heavily on never saying what you mean. It's another tool of oppression because only the In Group understands the subtext. It also is very helpful in hiding corruption because, having trained the masses to not believe what you hear, the masses can't recognize truth.

There also seems to be a PCA to charter school pipeline.

This is also an area where an accommodation where someone comes to clean the house once a month is perfectly acceptable.

“So the board put it in the superintendent's evaluation that the superintendent had to raise scores for these kids, get them reading. And guess what? It worked.”

“If the superintendent’s job was on the line to raise these scores, I guarantee you you'd have better outcomes.”

“What we are doing is creating a paper trail for people ahead of us to show and demonstrate that these problems have existed for decades, and basically that is the job of this committee. Do not expect change. Expect for your work to be used later on, maybe even in a lawsuit.”

Well, now that’s a fair point.

But that is different than “crazy.”

And particularly if the followers were indoctrinated as children, they actually have an underdeveloped sense of self and understanding of the world. The result is very similar to trauma and brain damage.

The followers are often taken advantage of by the leaders, but “high-control” means that most have limited access to information and alternative perspectives that might change their worldview.

Actually, let me tell you what they are. The guys at the top are grifters. The guys below that are borderline narcissists who due to trauma are drawn to high-control religion. The majority of the followers are sincere believers, if highly manipulated, who actually live according to a moral code.

Bro, I lived the video. When you’re in that world, it seems totally normal and logical. I’m telling you, they are many things, but crazy is not one of them.
comment in response to post
Doesn’t it? Because is it crazy if it worked? I would go for “evil” or “corrupt.” But “lunatic” indicates they aren’t successful, and I think you’ll find that they were given special access to the government, and you and I weren’t.

“This board has fought hard so that the privatizers, the people who want to dismantle SLPS, are not successful,” Jones said.” It’s just so hard to believe them when they have done more damage than any “privatizers.” And we trusted this BOE. Shameful.

I’m just hoping the temps and sun over the next few days melt the ice streets. A little salt would help, too, but apparently we’ve been abandoned by God and the MODOT here in this state.

Lunatics who out-organized everybody else and voted. So.

Having participated in such rituals before, I now realize that most of the elected officials probably think these people are nuts and don’t actually believe the walls are going to protect them. However, I see a whole lotta voters in that room, which I think is the point.

Also, bless the unsuspecting FB posters in the groups who didn’t realize I have been sitting on SPREADSHEETS for years waiting for this conversation. When they stop responding, I realized they didn’t actually care about the numbers. 😂

He’s an opportunist just like his momma. She recruited my mom when I was a kid to protest abortion clinics and volunteer at the “pregnancy clinic.”

So in an upside down way progressives were actually trying to save public education through destroying it. 🙃 But in a wild game of interest convergence, the right was like “Bet!” And here we are.
