which I'm still very critical of overall but man, as a standalone thing? Absolutely terrific. The main antagonist is probably my favourite main antagonist of the entire franchise. Soooo good.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023) Unfiltered peak. My hopes for the future of the series sadly haven't been entirely revived given that this is mostly just an epilogue to the part of the main story I loved (Y5/6) and less of a continuation of the current main story arc

Days of Being Wild (1990) Longing, loneliness and love: three topics this movie examines and understands more than most things I've seen. Such a cold, raw experience at the center of which is the most punchable piece of shit.

Umurangi Generation (2020) What if Shinji Ikari was a photographer and also non binary

Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk (2020) It really just is like that sometimes yeah. So short that the experience didn't really captivate me to what would have been possible but it still manages to portray mental illness in a way nothing else really does this way and that's commendable.

The End Of You (2024) evil and fucked up

It's always so funny to see how far apart Linke and BSW are. These used to be two sections of the same party lmao

X (2022) It really didn't do anything for me. The central Pearl/Maxine conflict was too shallow for me to get all too invested, and overall its thrill and horror fell flat similarly

Midnight Cowboy (1969) Gayest movie I've seen. I need to watch more Dustin Hoffman stuff

Eric Frankenstein kinda sucked? The joke of Eric is that he's a big incel and that's just reiterated in each one of his scenes and at some point we get it lol. Most of the rest of the main cast is quite goated though, their respective backstories are all fun and endearing and I'm honestly quite

Creature Commandos Season 1 (2024) I wasn't really convinced of this during the first three or so episodes but yknow, this grew on me. The main plot, at first, seemed run of the mill to a point of almost boring me, but with a series of twists and turns I ended up enjoying this quite a lot

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992) Absolutely brilliant. All the implications of the main show are explored, expanded and shown to you in such a detail that retroactively change so much about your perception of the show.

Overall I think I still like this. I realise I talk more about the bad stretch here but the good stretch is genuinely so great. Episode 9 especially man fuck. My jaw was on the floor. The finale also made me feel so confused and lost, exactly how I want to feel in a David Lynch-directed episode.

..the past 12 episodes had never happened. Which I am VERY grateful for. Though there was some fun stuff in the bad, shitty, no-good episodes. Andy and Dick were a hilarious duo and the arc in which they were convinced this fucking child was the devil incarnate and ontologically evil was hilarious

Every scene with Nadine and her high school boyfriend, or with Audrey and whatever the fuck his name was made me want to gauge my eyes out. And yet everything up until Episode 9 is so fucking peak??? And so is the finale? The finale is even more shocking, because it manages to make you feel as if

Topics that were previously handled very delicately (teenagers being abused by adults for sexual favours) is suddenly played entirely as a joke in the middle chunk of this season. Every single teenage character gets some sort of adult love interest FOR SOME FUCKING REASON.

Twin Peaks Season 2 (1990) The first 9 episodes and the finale are just genuinely excellent, even exceeding Season 1 in a lot of places. Everything inbetween - the episodes where Lynch and Frost stepped away and let the new showrunners do whatever - are the TV equivalent of a fucking lobotomy.

The Game (1997) this film is so fucking stupid but I have yet to decide whether the good or bad kind. At least it's a Fincher so it's engaging and tense as all hell

Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988) Kind of ass but like in an endearing way. I like the art design but the enemies are undoubtedly far too difficult, my awful-at-video games ass would not have beat this without the Switch's rewind function😭

Earthbound Beginnings (1989) Ignoring the usual 1989 jank this game is charming to an insane degree. Pretty fun :)

Peacemaker (2022) Very funny that one of the last things to come out the DCEU before its demise is just undoubtedly its best. James Gunn simply never misses 🔥
