Yeah, there's always something not perfect in these apps. It's great when there's a reasonable workaround.

Very cool. I hadn't heard of DXO or Darktable before. Gimp is fantastic in what it can do, but it's hard to navigate. I just cancelled my last Adobe subscription. I may need to resub to convert some old files at some point, but I'm just done.

This is generally great advice! Though powering off your phone saves an event in the cellular company logs. It’s safer to place the device in a sleeve that blocks mobile signals and then power off. Thanks for sharing!

I'm curious, how have your students responded to the ban? Did they start with negativity but understand and see the positives you're experiencing? Is there a split or majority one way or another?
Newer studies seem to be showing bans being good for teachers/staff but negative for students.

Oh, brilliant! That’s the flavor I was getting. Trader Joe’s in the US sells “Cookie Butter” which is a spread made from Speculoos. Thank you for this information.

Do you remember if it was more lively or slower? Was it solo piano? I have some ideas but feel like I’ll be all over the place without narrowing it down a bit.
If you can…is there a performer or group that reminds you of this, even if some **** men might respond “that’s not jazz”? I’m not him :)

They definitely weren’t bad, just unexpected.

Growing up in a mostly white area of a mostly white state that was founded by a nasty group of fascist…you get the idea — it took too long to fully wake up. It’s no good to be kind about this, especially not artists.

Not sure how this is a bad thing. Everything about social media, X/Twitter, and Musk have proven as privacy focused. Right? Right????

I’ve been waiting since the early 1990s for the internet to return to its roots and provide true value to all of us. Finally, this post gets us there. Thank you!

Frog was amazing. When I was 18 I was entertained and annoyed. 19 annoyed. 20 and talked to the guy? Amazed. I’ll tell a dad joke in memoriam.

No recordings, but I did play a half hour of Bach on the B3 with Leslie on. It was a trip. It was nothing compared to playing my “sacred” arrangement of Careless Whisper (yes, Wham!) on organ for communion at my teacher’s church.

Went like this…”Here’s why I implemented parental controls and the ways I will be able to see if you get around them.” A month later she’s listening to Darknet Diaries and for real asking about physical world pentesting.

If I got this much follow-up on my initial call, you'd know I was actually, truly happy. Instead, I'm worried that some payment didn't go through or I did something wrong.
Service providers: do the work, get your feedback, and MOVE ON.

THEN you call w/o message. AND you email. AND you text.
If I answer each of these do they count each as a review? I imagine a lot of people just say 10/perfect/excellent to make it stop.
Answering anything other than 10 gets a "but, WHY?"

Yes, please, provide excellent service. Yes, please, ask for feedback but don't call, text, and email like something essential is missing from our relationship. You spent 5 minutes at the end of my support chat asking "is there anything else?"; "do you have any other needs?"; "did I provid...."? OMG
