How gorgeous does this look?!

Don't be intimidated by the number of questions - you do NOT have to answer them all. You can answer as many or as few as you like, and the ALCS has nice, simple guidance and advice for answering the important ones. www.alcs.co.uk/news/your-ri...

Lovely, insightful review of #WorldOfWanda in Saturday's #Guardian. Thanks, @imogenrw.bsky.social! #backpacking #homesickness #secretfamilies #adhd

Morning. On Tuesday 17th June, I’m taking part in a Klaus Flugge Salon- an intimate launch event for The Dawn of Adonis. Tickets are limited to 30, and available here. www.tickettailor.com/events/ander...

This weekend only, Waterstones are running a 25% preorder special, and This Song Is About Us is part of it! If you fancy a summery festival novel about fame, love and music, there's never been a better time to order. Link here: www.waterstones.com/book/this-so...

Introducing … REAL WHEN I’M WITH YOU! 🌊💕 I am OVERJOYED to share that my next book, my first YA, is out in July with Scholastic UK! This is the book of my dreams, a story I’ve threaded all my love into, and I can’t wait until readers can fall in love with it, too.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy was perfection! Sweet, funny, touching and nostalgic. I might have to see it again…

Most excited about this!

Well this is a start… if you’ve yet to raise your objections, the brilliant Laura Ellen Anderson’s blog will help you through a response - and there’s an open letter to sign too! againstthebox.substack.com/p/time-to-ha...

One for my librarian and teacher friends! I have a new dyslexia-friendly book with Barrington Stoke out in June - aimed at 11+ with a reading age of 7. Join Kit and Hamza as they race against time to deliver a roast turkey across London! Funny, fast-paced, 5000 words. Hope you like it!

It’s still only 99p! A bargain of ridiculous proportions

WHERE THE HEART SHOULD BE is out today in paperback! Get it in all good bookshops x Thank you so much for all the support already. It means mountains ❤️

As a step-mum, this is SO lovely to see!

The second series of Am I Being Unreasonable? on iPlayer was just as darkly hilarious and gripping as the first. That ending though! I googled ‘Will there be a third series’ immediately (yes 🎉)

TV I’ve enjoyed recently: Colin from Accounts (series 2) on iPlayer: warm, witty and surprisingly moving Queenie (channel 4): faithful adaptation of the novel. Dionne Brown (Queenie) is a superstar The Devil’s Hour (Amazon Prime): creepy, clever, mind-melting thriller that kept me glued to the sofa

*IT’S BOOK BIRTHDAY O’CLOCK!!* #WorldOfWanda is a story of backpacking, homesickness, #ADHD and secret families, and it’s out today! Me and my PA Bonnie popped into our local Pickled Pepper Bookshop to sign copies and celebrate… 🎉📕 @uclanpublishing.bsky.social @theagencybooks.bsky.social

Brutal. Utterly brutal.

I’m doing a spot of market research! What are your favourite contemporary YA covers of all time? Please share!

Once more, but with make up. PEOPLE LIKE STARS, my new middle grade contemporary mystery is out today. Three young people. A stolen baby. A family secret. A grumpy tattooed woman of a certain age who definitely bears absolutely no resemblance to anyone I know. Or am. Cover #michellebrackenborough

Superb afternoon at the cinema, chain-eating sweets and watching Nicole Kidman kill it in Babygirl. She was excellent. As were Harris Dickinson as her intern/lover and Antonio Banderas as her devoted husband. Sexy and uncomfortable, I heartily recommend it (if sexy and uncomfortable is your thing)

Ah, The Traitors! Sublime telly once more! May it run and run.

In a surprise change from Claude's fashion cavalcade, today's #TheTraitors fan art is Alexander being the most ridiculously wonderful (or wonderfully ridiculous) on TV right now.

This popped up when I was on the Circle line. It's nice when nice things pop up on the Circle line. (Also payback for being an older sister who often cared for her younger brothers!) Thank you @timeslucy.bsky.social cover Michelle Brackenborough

Just a reminder that I have a book out on 1st May and you can request to read it on Netgalley now! It's about a girl who makes up an online friend for herself and what happens when he comes to life 😱 www.netgalley.co.uk/catalog/book...

THE DAWN OF ADONIS, cover illustrated by Tom Clohosy Cole, publishing in June…x

Any other pickleball enthusiasts on here? Husband and I have been playing for a couple of months now and are very taken with it. It’s basically all the best bits of badminton and tennis. Also, I just love saying ‘pickleball’.

Bigg School #5 is a go! This one stars one of my absolute favourite characters in the Bigg School universe. Clue: you love to hate her…

Gutted that Netflix cancelled Kaos! Just finished the first (and now only) season and thought it was great – inventive, clever, moving and packed with charismatic performances. Booooooo, @netflix.com, booooooooooooooooooo!

Decorations down, final slice of Christmas cake eaten, jigsaw completed, back to work in the morning… 😢

Let the Light Out by @louis-p-hill.bsky.social and Jenny Downham comes out today and if you didn't already have a reason to get your hands on it why not check out this 5 star review from The Telegraph's Emily Bearn! www.telegraph.co.uk/books/childr...

Don’t listen to that Pea! Supertato books are rubbish is out today!!

The Holdovers made for perfect Christmas Day viewing – witty script, excellent acting, great pacing, killer 70s soundtrack. I was thoroughly charmed and entertained.

Trifle for breakfast? Don’t mind if I do. Happy Boxing Day!

If you got any book tokens for Christmas, make sure you spend them at an independent bookshop. Here's a map with links to over 250 that are either children's bookshops or have very good children's sections.

Bored already? The Biggest Christmas Secret Ever is only 99p on kindle today! Get reading! www.amazon.co.uk/Biggest-Chri...

Merry Christmas from 13 year-old Lisa 🎄✨🎅

For teachers who want author visits: usually, authors charge, and asking for free visits from authors makes things awkward. One chance you have at free visits is when an author is doing a book tour. #KidlitUK #Edusky 1/2

I’m finding the new Sally Rooney (Intermezzo) a bit boring. Has anyone read it? Is it worth persevering with? I’ve read and enjoyed her others but I’m finding this one a wee bit impenetrable.
