As I mentioned last month: the IOC has a out concerning the US due to conditions attached to the 2034 Winter Olympics, and... doping.
The Rodchenkov Act is the key.
Incidentally, Thomas Bach is on his last overseas trip as IOC president: examining Australia's progress.

2028 is the perfect case to move QLD LGA elections to October, every 2 years alternating with state elections.
You think political spending is bad now: wait until the potential for a QLD LGA and Fed campaign running concurrently.

Another to look at in light of recent events: the US ABC television network investing in their own shortlived safari park in Maryland, "The Wildlife Preserve" (opened right in the middle of the 1970s oil crisis), that went on to become... Six Flags America.

I'd think this 90sec version is a lot more spooky...

This AU cruise YouTuber has been on the front foot concerning the P&O Cruises Australia absorption into Carnival, since it was first announced. youtube.com/@thecruisean...

Case in point: the rebranding of P&O Cruises Australia under the Carnival banner two months ago.
90yrs of history in Australia, gone at the stroke of a pen: because Carnival Corp. wanted one mass market brand in the South Pacific... that brand being the Carnival brand, not the 90yr old P&O brand.

IOC may have a backdoor to exit the US in 2028.
Has there been any Utah lobbying of Congress since Jan 20 concerning the Rodchenkov Act?
If they aren't lobbying: the IOC can strip the 2034 Winter Olympics off Salt Lake City while likely canning '28 in LA.

People aren't going to wait the same amount of time they did for LGPE connectivity to Home, concerning Switch 2 ZA/Switch 2 updated Scarlet/Violet, especially if Champions and Colosseum/XD come into the picture.
And the perfect time to rollout Home 4.0 is either late May this year, or Feb. 27 2026.

Because: I'm openly expecting that any Scarlet/Violet carts/virtual game carts with the Switch 2 enhancement update will not work with Home in it's current state, nor be able to talk with the Switch 2 version of Legends ZA.

I'd so love to be a fly on the wall in the room, when Nintendo told Ishihara that Z-A is going to be the Switch 2's big ticket for 2025 holiday sales.
It raises more questions now: Will Home be compatible with Z-A and Switch 2 in time?
Will Colosseum/XD on NSO be compatible with Home?

Because, it will be released on the same day as the Switch 1 version.
Now the Switch 2 version of ZA is known to exist, the time has come for a release date to be announced.
Especially, if it's trending toward November 2025: it will be Nintendo's big holiday hope for the Switch 2's first year.

Only thing I'm expecting Pokemon-wise is a confirmation of a standalone Switch 2 release for Legends ZA in addition to a Switch 1 release, not a Switch 1-only release with enhancements on the newer console... that could impact sales of both ZA and the new console.

In addition, any transfer of Gen 1/2-sourced Pokemon into Gen 3 titles would be one way only, but given a tag, so if it is ultimately transferred to Home via Time Capsule: it can be registered in it's historic local dex, opening the door for shiny Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys events in Home.

In addition, Time Capsule, could generate "Virtual GB/GBA carts" for use on Nintendo Switch Online's N64 Pokemon Stadium titles, and any future Gamecube NSO release of Pokemon XD and Colosseum, for battles and to transfer Pokemon for those games to Time Capsule for transfer to Home/ TC games.

The Brigette project: Pokemon: Time Capsule.
Combining off-line storage (that can communicate to Home) and the long hoped for Gen 1-3 ports, with coding tweaks made to the five Gen 3 GBA titles to allow Pokemon from Gen 1 Kanto and Gen 2 Johto/Kanto into Hoenn via the Time Capsule storage system.

What should be Brigette's next big project: combining what Bank was able to do (allow both Gen 3-5, and Gen 1/2 sourced Pokemon to co-exist with Gen 6/7 sourced Pokemon) with the answer to the many calls for Gen 1-3 to be available on the 3DS's successors.
