I can highly recommend calling people out on bad behaviour. They never expect it. They should.

I accept the Bluesky esoteric book challenge: one book per day, in no particular order, until you've shared ALL of the best occult books in your personal library. No explanations, no reviews, just covers! Book 8 #Books #Esoteric #Occult #esotericbookchallenge

Really exciting to see one of our flagship projects - @vchlondon.bsky.social - move towards such an incredible milestone #VCHRedBook250. Our colleagues in VCH Cumbria have been working so hard on this volume, it’s going to be brilliant.

📢 The UK government is talking about making HUGE cuts to disabled people’s social security. Disabled people are already three times more likely to face hunger, and these cuts risk pushing even more people to food banks.

Hunger & hardship are already at record levels. Almost one in five people receiving Universal Credit & disability benefits used a food bank in the last month. People are desperate & at breaking point - cutting welfare & disability benefits which are already not enough to live on is not the answer

The only way there will ever be any permanent change for the better in the UK is if you shut the Right Wing Billionaire Media down. Which is almost all of it.

All 3 changes to the statutory consultees are of concern. The benefits of historic parks and gardens/the Gardens Trust are outlined here: bit.ly/3FjRvx8. Also of concern are the lack of coherence of (and justification for) the wider proposals, and what all this signals for the future of planning.

Austerity is a political choice. UK govt gave £70.6bn tax relief on pension contributions. 63% went to 6m 40%/45% tax rate payers. 37% to 28.1m basic rate taxpayers. By fixing the relief at 20% for all Govt can reduce inequalities and have £14.5bn spare. End tax perks of the rich.

#NHS The most overpromoted man in politics Wes Streeting, is about to impose £7bn of #Austerity on the NHS. What is particularly egregious is Streeting has never worked outside of politics, ever, and is now in charge of our most cherished institution. www.thetimes.com/uk/healthcar....

Five years ago the world very suddenly became a scary place. On this day of reflection I'm remembering how it showed the best of people - the desire to look after and help each other by making selfless sacrifices.
