Yes, there is a small payment when a book is borrowed digitally.

Authors register their books with the Public Lending Rights (PLR) in the UK, and they distribute the payments. I think there are similar schemes in other countries.

2/2 I’d sent off my entry to the competition the previous November and had tried not to think about it, so to say I was over the moon is an understatement! There are ups and downs in every writer’s writing journey, but hearing I was to be a published author is most definitely one of the highlights!
