funny how you struggle with the “female friends” bit, because I also was in conflict with that at some point but then I just decided that it's normal to use it as adjective “regarding a woman”, so for example some of my female friends are trans women, and that feels to be the simplest solution

others have offered their explanations, but if I may, imagine you looking in the mirror your entire life and seeing a mannequin that looks like you — it's very good, it's incredibly precise, but it's. not. you. and then one day it's gone. there's a person there. it's scary! but also, now it is you.

“a chapter a day” — the words of a madman glad you still love it tho <3
comment in response to post
hey if you'll do a chapter roughly a week, you'll be done by just 2026!

I still remember the first time I've seen a girl in the mirror, AND the time when the boy stopped appearing there

I have a suggestion.

I read the paper itself and it basically says that curious and intelligent people use it beneficially; and lazy people use it to get more lazy — while I am opposed to LLMs on moral grounds, it’s not bimbofication bait

oh my god this is so good

It's not like I don't consider myself a human or a woman, but I made peace with “it/its” pronouns giving me warm fuzzies, so why not lean into it

plenty of transmascs know how to DIY; and it’s much easier for them because there’s already an established economy of T supplements for bodybuilders

comment in response to post
oh yeah i am scarily horny

be not afraid

yeah, i’m just pointing out that local mass production for many many people is viable given some lax rules

Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

I feel like that’s the great point of casting him — he looks “normal” but he can act very much not so
comment in response to post
he’s like, averagely attractive for a person, but his face acting is top notch

glad I could help fyi the SA stuff basically goes to the act itself, then skips it, then continues with the consequences

if you haven’t checked out @welcome-to-dudely.bsky.social yet, it’s a very fun read and also this is courtesy of Beth herself :)

she shared in chat that unfortunately she couldn't word the CW at the beginning any stronger, because the marketplaces would reject listing it, so when I recommend it to someone I try to add this bit from me
comment in response to post
I read through the body horror parts and was totally just “yay that's so cool I wish it was me"; but I usually warn people of, uh, other stuff (there's _a lot_ of SA in this book, but it's not gratuitous, dear reader)
comment in response to post
the recent mechsploitation thing has a few stories set afterwards that are VERY unsexy and basically just hurt
comment in response to post
oh sorry about that, I thought you meant another semi-common endocrine disorder
comment in response to post
What if trans people had a nice little place to run away to
comment in response to post
body horror is fun tho!

I primarily mention the sheerness of sexual assault to the people I recommend it to; I know it’s a real trigger, but Alyson said that she unfortunately couldn’t be more specific with the CWs in the beginning because stores would turn her away
