This was amazing to watch. Please more MESBG stuff! I’ve never played, but I’m really interested in picking up the new starter box thanks to your review.

I feel that most will disagree, but I think that BG3 is one of the most “meh” games of the last couple of years. I loved the first two and have a great fondness for 5e, but this one just kinda felt empty to me.

I still can not say Arizona the correct way.

Spot on! In my mind it was always driving a manual transmission car. Oh no critical failure, you stalled out!!!

I also have a red jazz bass! It’s amazing, but I’ve found myself gravitating towards the p-bass more. Especially for gigs. I think the jazz bass really shines at home when I’m running scales or learning new (faster) songs.

I absolutely love it. It’s simple, elegant, and I can get a huge array of tones out of it. It also has a super chunky neck which I like a lot more than I thought I would.

This arcade game was in the green room of a gig we played. So naturally I had to take a pic of my bass next to it. (And mandolin for good measure)

Thank you! Definitely going to be listening to this tomorrow. It’s always nice to get “new” music (even if it’s from ‘85).

I need to look into First Quest. Based on your description, it seems like something I’d really be into.

Excellent! I’ll definitely be trying those. We go through markers like crazy.

To be honest, I didn’t know those existed. I’ll have to check them out. Do you recommend? We just use cheap-o dry erase markers most of the time.

These are always the most epic. The imagination is the best tool! Here’s a shot from a session a DM’d a few months back.

That’s so cool! I’ve seen Spelljams before but never saw those vintage looking ones. Very nice collection

This will definitely be on my Christmas list. Combines my two favorite hobbies - DnD and collecting vinyl.

It’s so nice to have an honest to goodness Magic: The Gathering set.

I say “you do you.” The other day I saw a guy biking down the road in a leather kilt and cape. My overwhelming joy was only shadowed by complete jealousy.

Yeah, we have a really good commander group that I absolutely love. But I’ve even taken a step back from that too. We are proxy friendly and got to a point where it was basically the same game over and over and over again.

Yeah, I am with you. I mean, for pencil and paper games it makes a lot of sense. And multiclassing helps a *bit.* But would be fun to try and have a system similar to Elden Ring’s level up system. Make new builds, try new things, experiment…

I’m actually going to go back and reread. It’s been years!
I vividly remember being at a garage sale and seeing it when I was a kid. A very cool older kid handed it to me and said “this is a solid book.” So I bought and read no questions asked. I am thankful to that nameless hero to this day.

May I also recommend “The Martian Chronicles?”

As the DM my “characters” constantly get me into trouble with my buddies.
But I jest. We have a pretty great group of players at our tables. If something annoying happens, we have a pretty good mechanism to course correct. We just talk it out.
