there's also the one in 2026 and if that one is (held at all and) won then the two years after that seem promising with the possibility of impeachment

second place is probably passing Gargoyle (Full Song) S23 on Rush 80%, which is a not-DDR choreography that stuffs over 3500 steps into less than 8 minutes. maybe someday I'll be able to handle the full speed...

the ending to Celeste Strawberry Jam. it's probably not the most difficult thing I've done (in Celeste or otherwise), but *wow* this has vibes

I thought *this* was going to be the plat run the moment we won 500m, like with gmhs and sumber and osolaris fc

it's not even that (SNES color is 15-bit), it's just that 16-bit memory addresses were too small (that's 64KB and why ROM banks are a thing in NES and Game Boy games) and 16MB of memory wouldn't be a thing that exists for a long time anyway so what's the point of having more than 24 bits

chapter 5 is a massive black box of "I would spend over an hour looking for the berries if I tried to FC this" for me but like... having done 201 before getting really into modded, none of the other chapters are like that and I've forgotten 5 hard enough that every berry is just "yup, ok"

if your syntax is complex enough, it can handle π, e, root-2, zeta(3), anything you can think of, but that just means almost all numbers are so uninteresting you literally can't name or think of them in a way that distinguishes them from numbers epsilon away

with only countably many programs and countably many ways to hypothetically define a number, this *does* lead to the result that any syntax for naming a number (in finite space) necessarily misses almost all of them

what @segyges.bsky.social said: there's uncountably many real numbers, but a program of finite length (or even a finite-length *definition*, which doesn't preclude numbers that require the halting problem to calculate) can only hit countably many of them

also Mario Odyssey 2-player mode feels like it was *made* for this but like... idk how well it actually does it, I haven't had anyone to play anything with in person since 2017

...I said "my two favorites" and then listed three, I originally wasn't going to mention the Puyo Puyo series but like come on

neither of my two favorites come very close (Celeste probably still has too many things to keep track of at once even with assist mode, and TTYD/Puyo just generally have harsh difficulty spikes)... probably something on the Wii?
or maybe your favorite rhythm game if he's good at music already
