This x a bazillion

ICE isn't "deporting" immigrants, it is kidnapping them. DOGE isn't "fixing" the government, it is dismantling it. Trump isn't "helping" Americans, he is retaliating against them. Pam Bondi isn't "upholding" the Constitution, she is ignoring it.

The past four Republican administrations have tanked the US economy. But I know multiple Democrats who include their pronouns in the footer of their emails. I have never felt more politically homeless.

Once again, WTAF GenX?

me this morning www.nytimes.com/2025/04/09/o...

all states get these funds or no states do, and dem senators need to hold that line

Yes. It's a plot to enslave America. Take note of who collaborates with it.

Treasury bonds are “safe” to the extent the U.S. is viewed as stable and certain to honor its commitments. But we’re in thrall to a lunatic who just slit the throat of the global market for no reason & obviously thinks nothing of casually shirking obligations. So why would anyone view us that way?

Bosses hated the Biden-era job market where they had to fight over employees instead of abusing them, so used their control over the media to turn inflation into the number one issue, predict a fake recession that never happened, and try to convince Americans to tank the economy. It worked.

Todd Blanche and Pam Bondi stop enforcing the crimes Trump commits in plain sight, starting with bribery and now included crypto fraud.

The central & most important aspect of John Roberts’s jurisprudence is republicans must be allowed to do whatever they want *until* trial appeal and final scotus review admit they’re illegal. Democrats’ actions cannot be allowed UNTIL that same review says they’re legal bsky.app/profile/lawn...

A slack labor market also leads to bosses mistreating workers, lack of raises, lack of career advancement etc. This is why bosses hated the Biden labor market and love Trump restoring post GFC levels of worker precarcity.

This is high art

These tariffs are not going to encourage onshoring manufacturing jobs. Supply chains are highly integrated especially for tech. What’s going to happen is final assembly (often happening in the US for quality control), will move elsewhere.

this guy should call his senator tbh

Trump’s tariffs make no sense as economic or trade policy, but make perfect sense as a political weapon to make companies and foreign governments appeal directly to him for relief. Trump will just ask for a little something-something in return. www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2Ek3gBq/

No one is coming to save us. We have to save ourselves.

When you have an anti-democratic leader at the top, you embolden anti-democratic actions all the way down.

"the council of economic advisers"

No TRO and then oops, too late? Enraging.

Well fuck…

One of the defining feelings in American life, for decades now, is elites doing plainly criminal shit and nothing at all happening as a result. It is deranging in a way that virtually nothing else is. Media fixates on perceived street lawlessness but shit like this matters much more in my opinion.

Elon Musk has been a walking SEC violation for a decade and no one cared. The entire Trump era could have been avoided if the US took white collar crime anywhere near as seriously as it does low level drug crime.

Now: Week 7 of Saturday protests outside Tesla Minneapolis (Golden Valley):

Hand count of 480 at Golden Valley, MN #TeslaTakedown when I left. This is down a dead end frontage road not visible from the highway. Parking 1/2 mile away and walking. People are POed. @velshi.bsky.social @maddow.msnbc.com @allinwithchris.bsky.social

Why aren’t you wearing a suit? Have you said “Thank you” to Greenland and Denmark for allowing you to have a base on Greenland?

1/ On April 5, there are nationwide protests happening literally everywhere in the US. Find more details here: handsoff2025.com

EXACTLY THIS. EOs are not laws. They are essentially instructions to government agencies but they do not and cannot change the law. If they violate the law, they cannot be enforced. This point is very well taken. ⬇️

Not seeing any comments on Sen Schumer’s interview on Colbert, but holy sh*#, his entire plan boils down to (paraphrasing here) people are going to realize Trump doesn’t keep his promises, and he’s bad for this country. Truly hits home: we are the ones coming to save us. Get mobilized.
