Trump just made a civilian the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Chairman is legally required to be an active-duty military officer. This is another illegal move by the Felon-in-Chief. The law also requires senate confirmation.

DOGE has fired civil servants across most federal agencies with nary a plan in sight. The only thing that seems to be driving the firings are numbers of people off the federal payroll, regardless of their actual job and its importance to the health and well-being of the country.
