I'd fuck up a guy who almost molly'd a group of horses too. Totally non-human behavior. But so is putting those animals in that situation.

You don’t have to use it if you believe all it is is a plagiarism machine. If you can’t use Google without plagiarizing then that’s a pretty big concern

It’s a summary of search results. That’s all! It’s not evil.

They’re probably testing the exact stuff you’re asking about as we speak, that’s why there’s a lot of mixed reactions. The reactions matter, but not as much as the revenue. The plagiarism bandwagon of hate is a tempting one for sure, but in the end it’s the end-user’s choice to plagiarize or not.

It’s also showing there’s probably wide disagreement among sources and that aspect itself is worth more investigating. Do you have a better (shorter, doofus-geared) way to say that? Google is doing it without saying anything
comment in response to post
because if the AI summary is getting a totally different answer than the first link, that really begs the user to click more links — and generate more revenue for everyone — right?

I know and neither will perplexity or duck duck go, I tried

You certainly don't "have" to, and they seem to be banking that people will do what they've always done (look at a variety of sources, provided and served by Google where they can then still milk the clicks/ads/whatever revenue they're trying to undermine the courts with).

Also not being a doofus

The fact the first line of the AI Summary (clearly marked as a summary) does not immediately agree with one or more of the first few sources
comment in response to post
it’s obviously not perfect!

Gonna defend Google here and say that it is indicating that you at least need to click some links to actually know the truth, which is always and has always been the case. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycopene

If the tax bill passes completely, that will be like another mini-Russian invasion in the way it fucks the deficit. What happens when you add some hurrycanes and fires that receive zero FEMA response? It gets easy to lose track of that 33%.
comment in response to post
Will they be smaller than Covid? Yeah, almost definitely. Recalling Covid, business and shipping was literally frozen for weeks. If we ballpark things, maybe the damage so far from Trump might add up to 33% of that.

Sent an application -- first time coming across you guys. Interesting! I am looking for ways to get involved because I am a witness to countless episodes of CSA. That's just to start. I am more in love with the activity than I have ever been right now, and it needs help desperately.

The worst, obviously, is that they have themselves freely given up the choice between right and wrong to others who have simply swindled it from them while they got fat and happy in retirement. They are dead.

I have a Bachelor's, Master's, and an almost finished Ph.D. Every time I've gotten a job, or gotten close to getting a job, that industry has been literally dismantled and my jobs erased by their choices.

PATHETIC. Anyone still working for 60 Minutes should 86 themselves from the situation immediately.

Holy shit mang, that blows. I know how much it blows because I live in central Texas. The grid is so fragile it's embarrassing and then you think about the actual consequences (old people, sick people actually dying, and widespread misery in general).

I keep seeing people say this but Google has been just fucking fine for me the whole time. People just apparently shit their fucking diapers when they see an odd wording in the AI summary (which is clearly marked as such). guess I'm just a boomer then

At the same time, the company is making absolute dogshit decisions and is likely hemorrhaging subs. They pissed Nathan Fielder off so bad he is writing episodes around them. One of their leading show is Landman, which is one of the most embarrassingly bad things I've seen on TV.

The dissent is so fucking pathetic and void of any actual argument I can't even understand it? Like why the fuck is Alito arguing against his own power in this case when he's so fucking willing to usurp 50 years of precedent in other cases?

I know it's hard but try to ignore conventions. Do what will make you happier and/or your lives better. If you move in together and it's not going great, you can figure something else out. There is no rule against families living together, especially right now.

It’s psychopathic. And abusive. Because we all know this goes way, way, wayyyyyyyy beyond just shower time.

Like wtf is with this advice? OF COURSE using a swimsuit will help. Like wtf — it’s classic drum corps, a constant competition to see who can rawdog life the hardest.

"What goes on the bus stays on the bus." "Get out of your comfort zone." I honestly need to write a book about it -- it has defined my life more than I'd like to admit.

Which is definitely bad, like obviously. But what interests me is that I know for a fact that it's probably the tippy-top of the iceberg in terms of institution-sponsored hazing, ritualized abuse, and a cult-like system built on blackmail keeping people quiet through decades.

It's actually interesting to me. Looks like there are one or more very committed posters who keep posting the same warning about a staff member from Infinity(i think?) who SA'd someone a few years back. The posts have been calling out that this person is still engaged in the activity.
