I mean Byward is closer to a de-facto pedestrian priority zone than the official one at Lansdowne and the city didn't do that, it's just that we make the drivers fucking well wait while we cross and won't accept any kind of stuff from them without some serious yelling and hood-smacking.

Whereas majority of ByWard (other than courtyards) is fully and 100% muni controlled. We could make this exciting, interesting and lead positive changes if we wanted (narrator voice, we don’t) and make this a vibrant place. Check out blog, articles, vids. bit.ly/3ScHh3G

Imagine what could have been done with adequate funding.
Just $1.5 million and the LRT wouldn't have to run a 10 minute service off peak.
"Reliability improvements for LRT line 1" -- running at half design frequency off peak isn't really a win.
