We had to get a lawyer last month over our protest because the city tried revoking the permit without cause. Thankfully a lawyer pressing the issue was enough for them to keep the permit in place. Be prepared to work with your city or county officials to ensure you don’t run into any issues.

I used to work as fiscal staff for a Republican controlled legislature. One of the agencies I covered was Department of Revenue and they always loved to ‘joke’ that it was the criminal theft agency. As you said, Jess, not a single one refused their taxpayer funded pay or daily stipends for food 🤷♀️

South Dakota is my home state. I’ve heard we’ve had isolated raids but nothing major. We have entire farming communities that are mostly immigrants. So far the wildest stories are Native Americans being detained when they OBVIOUSLY are citizens.

Not only that but anyone under 45 already knows SS is dead. I struggle to pay my bills and every month SS and Medicare is taken out that I’ll NEVER FUCKING SEE. It’s to ensure current retirees get their checks. If my parents can’t get their SS even with me and my peers paying in, I’m boycotting.

My father is disabled and elderly. He had a brain infection and had to relearn how to walk, talk, and eat. He was a corporate accountant and now the man can’t write and has severe short term memory loss. If he goes to the street he WILL be arrested and he will be so scared and confused 😭.
