I gather it's designed with "kids who stopped racing to 'explore' the maps" in mind but better tracking would probably be nice regardless of that.

It slowly goes down in TP cost til it's like only 80, and after the fight it's 75. It's pretty decently strong too so it's situationaly more useful than Ralsei's.

Especially since Susie's healing does actually get a little cheaper each time you use it, and the fight doesn't kill you, just kicks you out to help you notice this.

They've got koopa shells in this one.

[...] small child's gameplay without acknowledging they're a small child. Stonefaced commentary along the lines of "this is completely amateur, this is childish".
(Of course to Beefdaughter's credit she probably did that Astrobot boss way better than I could've at that age).

Slowbeef, the guy who invented Lets Plays, has some kids and the daughter sometimes pops up on stream when she wants because she's got that "wanna be a youtuber" bugs kids get.
Only goes by her username, always with Beef supervision, it's great.

When a Gamer Scion is only on camera because they - like a lot of kids - wanna be a youtuber or somesuch and the parent's making sure to keep everything safe?
Hell yeah kid take autonomy over your own image also the collectable is back there you missed it yeah in the previous cave up on the ledge g

Ch. 4 crosses the halfway point to 4/7 and it feels like such an Insert Disc 2 moment - final boss of Ch. 3 is the Disc 1 climax.

I don't love genAI models being trained on shit*, but I definitely don't trust fucking Disney to litigate it the right way lmao.
*(It's not theft but a secret third thing that's complicated to compare to anything due to being legitimately novel).

EO5 has a lot of custom color stuff so this looks nothing like her but... miss team Bodyguard. Party leader was DLC Portrait Isekai Protagonist, hired a bodyguard. There WAS yuri. Anyway.

Personally I really love EO5's Dragoon.

I love how EO makes you create your own blorbos like hey that's Hickory, my medic.
(She's a bit SMT4/EO1U inspired in that it's supposed to be a far future corruption of a Japanese name - it's derived from "Hikari" but with the same drift as SMT4's "Kiccigiorgi")

At least they're called Dragon Knights in Japanese so their armor often leans pointy and scaly, so most English speakers' unfamiliarity with 17th century mounted infantry means they'll clock it as "oh I get it it sounds like Dragon"

At least you can go Main Weapon buffs and mostly ignore the sub, having a good Special feels like it matters more.

I was excited about a new Splattershot until Kraken - the other parts are parts I'd enjoy but I hate Krakening.

I looked up the fight in JP despite not reading it and was delighted by all the emoji [ :) ] being replaced with various kaomoji. Yeah that makes sense that's what he would've said.

Thinking about how the room during Ralsei's explanation of how the Dark World works in Ch. 3 - when it gets dark, a coat over a chair looks like a monster, or a poster looks like it moves - seems to be a bare-bones, poor room with... with a Monster Movie poster.
Susie loves those. Was that hers?

It's crazy how much deltarune seems specifically designed to make some tween to teenage player out there playing it blind sob loudly from catharsis.
Media for kids will ask if anyone's gonna depict a troubled home life and not even wait for an answer.

I'm seeing people blissfully he/himming Kris in the youtube comments of [Ch. 3 secret boss] challenge restriction runs, some people just don't get it.

Thank you for the yuri. It will feed me deeply.

The poignant final message is that if you decapitate a guy and stuff the gold into the head, the way carrying physics objects works makes it basically weightless.

Anyway, the next time Megumi Hayabashira cynically makes a guest appearance for paid autographs at a foreign convention, I hope someone asks her some uncomfortable questions in her native language so there's no doubt in her mind exactly who's paying attention to what people like her say in 2025. 🙂
