I quit Twitter and like it here. I haven't found anything that resembles Facebook (before all the comcials) or Insta🧐 The new Bluesky picture app (name?) might prove to be good?

It is also very illustrative to the ADHD and autism way of living.

And some books about women experiences. These are from a variety of perspectives. Ordinary women in DK, women in the resistance, kriegskinder, children in Germany etc.

What a wonderful collection of pages you manage. I didn't even know that the Vatican were digitizing their collection! I also find it very inspiring in a time of worldly trouble, knowledge of history is so very important. This makes for an immedate follow👍 from me😁.

Sloths have green fur, but it is due to algal growth. There is a very interesting relationship between sloths and moths feeding off algae in the fur. royalsociety.org/news/2014/sl...

Outrageous suggestion! Finland do not combat homelesness by issuing tariffs and they are still quite succesfull. So maybe there are other methods🤯😵‍💫😵

Really striking piece.

Are you teaching it as a course or only a single seminar? It sounds so very interesting.

I know, but there a few villages (bygder) and no roads between them 😀

That is possible in Greenland, if they are willing to eat seal (vital for the fat content), Crowberry (also known as Blackberry), shorthorn sculpin (easy to catch), cod and gulls eggs. For winter provisiond it is possible to pickle Crowberry in seal blubber. Unless they start whaling...

My armchair. It belonged to my grandparents. They bought it in a pawn shop after the war, at a time when they had very little money. It needs new upholstery, but for now a blanket will do.

I have heard rumors that Germans trained in the legion before WWII and then returning to Germany to fight. But it might have been the story detailed here??

Interesting. In my own work I have often thought that working with archivalia is like being a detective.

comment in response to post

Nothing beats paper journals and browsing through libraries. Studies show that reading print improves comprehension far more than looking at digital text.

Browsing through books, journals and libraries gives a much more satisfying experience. I have found many an article by browsing the library shelves Things that I would never have found digitally.
