Live in Northamptonshire. Too many interests. Beer, pubs, coffee, books, medieval crosses, listed bridges, Grade 1 listed buildings, sport. Very left wing but that’s not for here necessarily but it tells you I’m a nice guy.

Union branch AGM chaired and out of the way until next year.

What’s with all the live singers in Centre MK? As if shopping wasn’t painful enough already.

So who else did today’s w0rdle in two?

Went to a one pump pub last night. It was Phipps IPA and to my huge surprise I really enjoyed it.

Went to NT Live The Importance of Being Ernest last night. Very good indeed. Camped up from the original. Oscar would have approved I’m sure.

Just driven to Nottingham and back. The level of incompetent drivers just grows and grows. Crazy.

Another one of the big five. Buckingham Arms. Hmmmm.

It’s ok to be English and think Jude Bellingham is a prick. I certainly do.

CP&K. Beer warm. Disappointment.

I’m sat in a leather sofa which feels about 100 years old. It’s swallowed me. But I need to go to CP&K so I’ll have to extricate myself somehow.

Never been to this part of London before. It’s posh as. But as an architecture geek I like it.

Now in one of the big five. Star Tavern. Lovely pub. Smells of fire. Shite glass though.

In the capital. The girls are at Hamilton. I’m drinking. Two old pubs in Belgravia: Fox & Hounds and Antelope to start. Harvey’s Best and Fullers ESB. Nectar.

Tonight’s pub was Clare’s choice and she chose The Three Horseshoes in Ecton as it’s a wet pub so no Valentines food. Good pints of Benjamin Franklin Founding Father and Nene Valley SPA. Cheers.

Cracking end to the Merseyside derby. Love to see a punch up.

That jackpot round on Pointless is pretty much my specialist subject. Even so it was an anxious three pointless answers. #bookerprize

Pulling the skin off a chicken thigh is satisfying.

An almost finished Everards Old Original, Barley Mow, Cosgrove. Had it better but it’s still decent.

Theakston Yorkshire H’aka. Vaults Bar. Stony Stratford. Rugged.

Pulled into a layby to make a call. Treated to a couple of Jays bobbing around. Beautiful birds.

Two pints of Harvey’s Best at The Bell & Bear Emberton. First with sparkler, second without by request. Pint number two the expected winner.

Feeling peculier.

Portering.

Eldest is home from Uni for the weekend so having a movie and snack night. Have some supermarket beers. Am missing Friday evening pub though.

Marcus Rashford makes me sad.

A Northampton ghostsign I’ve not seen before. Might conceivably be a new reveal. Possible evidence of fresh work.

It’s just not cricket.

Got wind of Harvey’s seasonal in The Malt Shovel. Went for a pint. It was delicious.

11 pubs visited in Liverpool tonight and not one photo taken inside or outside of any of them . You’ll just have to take my word for it. This is the beautiful town hall though.

A short meeting in Leicester gave me the opportunity for halves in Ale Wagon, Blue Boar and Salmon. Not been in any of them since before Covid. Salmon has changed exponentially.

Not even ten to ten and I’m going to bed with my book.

Brian is an incredible beautiful read.

United grinding out a win. All in all an enjoyable day.

Waiting to be picked up to go home. Have a whole GF haggis to myself for dinner. What a great day.
