A lot of people now see that Musk is a vile extremist. But many still struggle to accept that he is also an oblivious fool. Once you actually listen to what he has to say about the world, you realize it’s all faux-visionary nonsense layered on top of profound ignorance.

FWIW, I am tired of the "parents know their children best" political set. Im going to go there. No. No parents don't, not about learning. Teachers are the experts here. I am an elementary teacher, and I never presumed to know "best" about my kids' calculus. I'm not an expert.

Amen

Federal workers, we recognize that this is an unpredictable time. Our team is actively pairing your tips with reporters on this list and across our newsroom to make sure you're speaking to someone with the right expertise. How to get in touch:

This is just a reminder to you guys that on Gilligan's Island they listened to the professor, not the millionaire.

“So Elon Musk killed this program for disabled kids (illegally) because it included the word ‘transition.’ It helps them to transition from high school to work.” H/T @palafo.bsky.social, who posted the above on another platform.

Well said.

The real cost of the president's "cost cutting." This is shameful.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18jqKaKJTK/

The cruelty of this. The body politic has been mortally wounded by a necrotic, flesh-eating bacteria, and it threw out all the medicine.

I'd love people's help getting this out into major subreddits. Especially ones frequented by technology workers. The more people in Silicon Valley who know the truth, the better. www.notesfromthecircus.com/p/the-plot-a...

Don’t just say DEI as if it’s a bad word. Spell it out. Say diversity, which is the lifeblood of American society & culture & innovation. Say equity, which a just society should pursue. Say inclusion, because decent people believe in increasing belonging, not isolating people who are different.

Very helpful.

The Kennedy Center receives roughly 16% of its budget from federal funding. Per this article, Congress has supported the Center in a bipartisan way since its inception in 1974. The Chaiman of the Board is elected by the board, not appointed by the president. operawire.com/kennedy-cent...

Just calling it like I see it.

This is way overboard.

And there it is.

SCOOP: A US Treasury threat intelligence analysis has designated DOGE staff an ‘insider threat'. An internal email reviewed by WIRED calls DOGE staff's access to federal payments systems “the single biggest insider threat risk the Bureau of the Fiscal Service has ever faced.”

True.

I would just love it if any journalist with access would ask the president what he's doing about the bird flu and the cost of eggs.
