This one is in my #toread list. I keep seeing hit recommended everywhere.

When you do that, pull those bottom leaves straight down and they’ll come off clean. Add the substrate after you snap the leaves. Then your plant doesn’t have to spend energy trying to repair the dying leaves and you get to get rid of the worst looking ones.

You also might want to up pot by an inch. I see you have root nodes that haven’t activated. I was taught to add a layer of substrate to the pot to cover any budding root nodes as soon as you see them. Then if you get root rot on older roots, you might be ok with the new ones.

I have mine in a similar substrate, except the potting soil is replaced with tree fern fiber. And I embraced clear pots. I water when the top of the substrate is Almost dry to the touch And the sidewalls don’t show any moisture. They haven’t dried out yet.

I hadn’t either until @buehlmeister.bsky.social new release came out last Summer. I don’t buy a ton of physical books anymore because I listen to audiobooks via Libby/Library loan, but when I do order a physical book, I order from here now. Just lower your shipping speed expectations to Pre-Amazon.

I’m not by any means an expert, but I can try to help. I need to know some things first:
1. What is your substrate?
2. What are the temperature and humidity numbers?
3. How often are you watering?
4. How do you decide when it is time to water?
5. What/how often are you feeding it?
6. What light?

Same. I had already switched over to this seller for physical books. Now I’m downloading all my ebooks, which have never even been on a Kindle because I just read from my phone if I’m not listening to the audiobook. Audible books will have to be dealt with as well.

Whoo Lort! I’m gonna put that one on my wishlist and keep an eye out on Palm Street. My Zara x Zara Michelle is the Slowest grower! Every other seedling in my collection is spouting new leafs like crazy. Not that girl.

Yes! And gig work is the next generation scheme to keep the masses poor and allow the rich to continue paying sub-living wages.

It’s also been fun to see the growing interest in actual historical boardgames due to video games like Assasin’s Creed and Nancy Drew. I’m noting these books down for my research. Thank you so much

I run a board game shop at a renaissance festival and our focus is on historical and historical inspired games. So many of those games were either translated into digital or were video games first and the. Translated into analog.

Oh! My bad! They JUST rolled out E-books! However, they may not be as inexpensive. And this particular title not available…Yet.

Don’t forget to promote bookshop.org. This title is available there in paperback. They don’t have e-books, so there won’t be a $4.99 equivalent, but every purchase there helps spread money around to independent bookshops.

How sweet! Are you keeping isopods for a bioactive environment for some other critter? Or just because you like colorful isopods?

This! I wish it wasn’t so, but we keep having the rug pulled out from under our favorite people. For me, this one hurts just as much as the Bill Cosby scandal.
