The dark purple shows how much more filling out the mane will be getting. The light purple outlines the established face, framing and ruff.

I'm going to look into that actually. I hadn't even thought of that and further reading is telling me there's really good reason to suspect exactly that. Her last senior panel was exceptionally clean but still.

Right? And it's something that will have the rigidity vary based on the softness of the silicone you use, and how much silicone you use and exactly how its applied. This is great because you can create a gradient of weight or rigidity across a surface in a very organic manner.

If you're familiar with the trick for thin tails where things like washers are added into the end for additional movement, it's the same idea, except there's no metal in the tail now. Much safer.

This is good for like things that are tapered and/or thin, and you basically just use the silicone to selectively hold shape or add weight. And then when you put your skin on you just stitch up the underside snug. You don't glue it down.

No deer, I'm a burb dweller. Rabbits don't seem to like them, happily.

As it turns out, they more or less come in every color except blue. Several silver varieties stand-in admirably tho.

Addition: To be clear- im not replacing how I did things with Lion 1 at all, this is just a demonstration of options that are in my repertoire and what the limitations/effects of the faux mink are.
